“Staff great hotel 70's”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

A remote location but greeted by very friendly staff, bedroom a playback to the 70's floral bed covers and curtains , bedroom block at back of hotel rather tatty, laundry rooms open for all to see, carpet threadbare on stairs and no lift for those with luggage. Bar small and breakfast disappointing , poached egg and bacon best described as wet . Staff saved the day but if using NEC better alternatives for accommodation.

I organised my Sister's Hen Weekend at the hotel.
Jan helped with the organising from start to finish. Could not fault her professionalism. She was very approachable & always quick to respond with any questions. Nicky on reception gave us a warm welcome, helped us to organise everyone into rooms and was professional and calm considering we had 25 girls to check in!
We had afternoon tea for 25 in the Drawing Room. WOW it was stunning ! it was decorated in beautiful white chair covers & hot pink sashes which we had the choice of picking to suit our colour scheme. The afternoon tea was breath taking! I have had afternoon tea in various places and this is truly spectacular! Staff were efficient, polite, helpful and very friendly. This is an amazing room if your planning an event or for a special occasion!
In the evening we did a 'Murder Mystery'. Food was delicious! Service was fantastic!
We stayed overnight, the rooms are clean and welcoming, and the beds r so comfortable! even my mum slept well and she never normally does! Tea and coffee facilities are lovely, even had biscuits! Bathroom was clean and shower was great!
I would highly recommend Brook Marston Farm Hotel to anyone planning a party, wedding, special occasion or a treat to yourselves! Could not fault it what so ever! I am one very happy visitor!

This was a birthday gift for my wife from her brother and his wife. The rooms fine, physical aids to help her handicap. The evening was great - a really good laugh and very well produced. ( we had a hen party in which made if much better). Must agree with a previous review - more sauce on the meal please!!!!

Bar prices high - captive audience but not really an excuse. ( double Bells whisky £7.80 !!!!)

Nice hotel and great staff

We stayed here for my future daughter in laws Hen party. On arrival receptionist very polite and patient (there were 22 of us to check in)! Hotel quite tired in appearance, but clean. We had afternoon tea in our own private space, loads of lovely sandwiches and cakes, wow. Staff all very attentive, nothing too much trouble for them. Later, there was a Murder Mystery, that was brilliant. Then we had more food in the form of evening meal, very, very nice. All in all an excellent experience.

Room Tip: Sometimes can hear music if event in marquee if in room overlooking courtyard

My twin sister and l had our joint birthday at Marston Farm Hotel. The marquee was beautifully set out for us, and we were allowed in to put up photo's and balloons well before our guests arrived. The staff were helpful and efficient. At no time were we rushed to leave, it was all that we had hoped for, an informal and happy event. Organiser Jan was very helpful and pleasant with a good sense of humour. Thank you to all the staff. Mary

We was greeted by the staff and manager and was made very welcome and invited into a private room which was very comfortable.
Food sandwiches, pots of tea and cakes including cream tea was very nice and well worth the money.

My family and i went to Marston farm hotel for mother's day, this is the second year we have been the meal and the service is excellent. We arrived at 2pm our meal was booked for 2.30pm but we was not rushed to go straight into dinner. And the after service is very caring, made sure you enjoyed the whole day.
