We didn't know what to expect when my Mother suggested we go to the garden center for lunch .We had passed Halls-The Garden Room , and it looked like a pub .It had been a pub and when entering the coffee house it was really interesting with high ceilings and interesting things for sale and a cake cabinet which everyone on entering swooned over .
With the tea served in bone china cups and saucers and good filter coffee , many people called in for tea and cakes .We had a refreshing lunch of Scampi , chunky chips , tartar sauce , side salad and peas .It was served quickly , tasted fresh and well presented , maybe a little expensive at £7.50 I would rather have paid around £6 , but that would not stop me returning .The Bakewell tart was the best we had ever tasted .
With some nice homemade produce for sale and simple things like China mugs and garden furniture for sale as well of course the Garden Center .
