One Star.....Six friends visited yesterday evening for a birthday celebration. Fortunately we are all of medium build, and good manners learned in childhood prevailed with elbows needing to be well tucked in!!
The restaurant was very busy, the seating was tight with very little room on the table for glasses, cutlery, plates, bottles, etc.

Three stars....We all made the decision not to have a starter and this was the best plan of all, as when the main courses arrived, everyone said of the contents on their plate.....there is enough here to feed two people. We ploughed on thoroughly enjoying our various dishes, all of which were beautifully cooked. Replete, we passed on the deserts.
We would have liked to have stayed longer, but there were people queuing to take our table and we felt compelled to leave.
We would return, the staff were friendly and the service good, however, first ensuring the table was ours for the night, as our evening was spoiled having to leave earlier than planned.

Regular visitors here. It’s always busy, a sign of both its popularity and its longevity.
Habib and the staff work tirelessly and are always looking to improve rather than just make changes for the sake of it. If there’s something you fancy, just tell them as they are so accommodating.
The best Indian restaurant in Stamford, bar none.

Visited here on a Monday night and it was busy. Always bodes well.

Great service- the best I've had in an Indian restaurant- and good starters. The one let down was the watery (but cooked) chicken in the meal. The rest was good.

However, it's definitely one place to return to if wanting a curry.

Stayed in Stamford for 1 night and really fancied an Indian. Came across Bombay Cottage and very glad we did. Pretty extensive menu but both very happy with our choices. Perfect end to a bank holiday weekend!
