“Very welcoming B&B, luxury accommodation, cracking breakfast”
Reviewed 31 August 2012

Really enjoyed our stay at the Eastleigh with my partner and 9 month old daughter. On arrival a big pot of tea was delivered to the room which i found very nice and have not been offered before in other B&Bs ive stayed at in the past. The room was very clean, spacious and decorated to a high standard with lots of little touches like hair straighteners which my partner was very happy about, DVD player with plenty of DVDs available in reception to watch in the room, plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc in the room and more if required from reception. Breakfast was of a high standard with plenty of cereals offered and fruit juices and the full english was very nice if not bad for my diet lol. Gary & Claire very welcoming nothing was too much trouble for them. Big thank you shame the weather didn't stay good for the days we were there like the first day !!

We had stayed here a few years ago and were very pleased to see that this stay was just as enjoyable. The hotel had changed hands since our last stay and I have to say that the new owners were very attentive and very caring!

The room was lovely and clean along with the rest of the hotel. The breakfasts we found to be absolutely brilliant with everything you could possibly want.

Nothing was a trouble to Claire and Gary and you could not wish for anything more for a very enjoyable stay!

Now don't be put off by appearances. This hotel looks like lots of other seaside hotels from the outside, but inside, it has something different.

Met by Gary, the agreeable landlord, who introduced me to the facilities, sorted me out with a free parking space (in a place where they are scarce) and shown me pp to my room with it's splendid 4-poster.

Double room at a very reasonable single occupancy rate, which was well equipped, fairly spacious, comfortable, quiet and clean.

Minibar in the room.

Honesty bar in the TV Lounge.

Checklist to complete for the included full English the following morning, which was exceptional.

Definitely on my list to use again.

Room Tip: Ask for a 4 poster

We were very pleased with the Eastleigh Hotel. The hosts were very welcoming & the atmosphere was very relaxing. They were knowledgable about the area and had plenty of information on what to do, where to go, etc. The room that we stayed in (luxury room) was spacious, relaxing & comfortable. The bed was very nice....infact I would have liked to bring it home with me!!

Room Tip: We would definitely recommend paying the little bit extra to stay in a luxury room with a sea view.

I chose the EastLeigh, purely on it's reviews as one of the best b&b's in skegness...the room was nice, not a bad size and had everything you would need and I was made Jo feel welcome and brought a nice fresh cafetierre of good quality coffee. The choice of cereal, juice, yogurt etc for breakfast was good but unfortunately, the cooked breakfast (for a £45 b&b charge) was way below par...1 sausage and 1 rasher of bacon is quite mean (I had politely asked for extra if possible on my breakfast order form previously) but also, the bacon was neither grilled nor fried but heated up in an oven which just dries it out and leaves the fat inedible. The black pudding and mushrooms had the same treatment which left the mushrooms almost raw. The actual quality of the ingredients seemed good which was a shame and a bit of a waste! As a cooked breakfast is a bit of a treat for me when not at home, it was quite a downer to an otherwise pretty good place to stay. Maybe my expectations are too high...although a breakfast cooked to order would make the eastLeigh a genuine b&b to consider returning to should I visit skegness in the future.
