I stayed here with friends for two nights in August. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were comfortable, well presented and had everything you need, including complimentary drinks, a kettle, and fridge. The location is great, close enough to the 'heart' of the town but down a street quiet enough that you won't be disturbed - even if you stay in the ground floor room looking over the back of the hotel. Car parking isn't an issue as the hotel has a car park round the back but there is plenty of free on street parking at the front if you can find a space.
The owner was very friendly, texted me before arrival to confirm the room was ready, and was around to greet us on arrival.
For me the 'room only' basis, without breakfast was a bonus as you can have a lie in before checkout without feeling you have to wake up extra early to cram in food before you go. And for those of you worried about breakfast, you'll find plenty of places offering breakfast very near by at great prices.
I definitely recommend The Eastleigh and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.More
