We booked a kingsize sea view room for a getaway for one night. The hotel looks nice from the outside and on entering its modern and minimal, we liked our room we had an kingsize bed, tv and a leather sofa, bathroom was clean although shower not great. We were quite happy with the quality of the room and the size however it was very noisy, we could here youths outside till gone 2am and we also heard the couple next door coughing, arguing etc it didnt feel very private!

Perfect location, right on the front, good price also. No on site car parking, but we visited out of season, when you can park on the road outside for free. Would definitely pay the extra for a sea view room. Had a great meal out, got back to the hotel late and retired for the evening after midnight. Around 3am we were woken up by the couple in the room next door fighting and slapping each other, you could hear every word, the walls are very thin. Cannot blame the hotel, it is skeggie after all! but just be aware at a weekend you might not get a good nights sleep!

Room Tip: Free parking on road outside between end of September and Good Friday.

We booked two rooms for one night in this very clean and tidy hotel, we were in the area for a concert at the local theatre which was literally 50 yards down and across the road, something worth noting if anyone is doing the same thing as we were!!
We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explained everything to us that we needed to know, including tips on the local area.
Both rooms were at the back so not much too look at from the window, but as we were only there for one night we didnt really see the point in paying the extra for a sea view. Both rooms were spotlessly clean, although one room was disappointingly smaller than the other (112 OK, 108 smaller), again it didnt really bother us too much as only there for one night. Nice towels were provided, an LCD freeview TV, and Tea/Coffee/Hot chocolate and biscuits on the desk.
We had our own controllable radiator too.
The bed was really comfortable, I have paid twice/three times this price and had a much worse nights sleep than this was.
If you like the Travel Inn/Travelodge style place and are looking for a comfortable, clean, friendly hotel room in Skegness then this is the place for you. I'm not sure there would be anything else like this in the town.

There seem to be no branded hotels in Skegness (I do not count best western as you never know what you will get!), if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in Skegness on work do yourself a favour and stay here! Clean and basic. Flat screen TV on wall and white bed linen. Nice staff. This is the best there is here!

On arrivial my partner and I were really impressed with this hotel which was clean, modern and in a great location. We booked a king size room with a sea view and got exactly that.
However...
After a nice meal at the little Italian restaurant just down the road we came back to room and spent the next 6 hours listening to other rooms TV's, a child screaming the place down, several young lads shouting and quite awkwardly...the couple next room getting intimate. No joke the walls are paper thin!
We were only staying 1 night so it wasn't too bad, and we did laugh about it the next day but I cannot imagine this would suit everyone.

Room Tip: Take ear plugs. The sea view room was definately worth the extra money.

We booked this hotel on the spur of the moment & we were not disappointed. The hotel is clean & modern. The receptionists were helpful & friendly. We had a king sized room with a sea view (recommended). The room was clean, the bed comfortable & the bed linen & towels were of good quality & spotless. We stayed for 3 nights & the only downside was the lack of hanging space for clothes & no drawers to put your smalls in! On our first night the heating in our room was not good but the great receptionist changed us to another room with no fuss & was apologetic - this did not spoil our holiday & I would totally recommend Hotel No 8 to our family, friends & anyone reading this!
Hotel No 8 is ideally located to all amenities. Parking is unrestricted opposite the hotel from September to Good Friday if I remember correctly - a bonus as no car parking charges.
All in all very good value for money & we hope to revisit again :o)

Room Tip: It's worth the extra money for a king sized room with a sea view

This is the 4th visit we have made this year and w have not been disappointed. All the rooms are very clean and we have never been able to find fault. We like it that there is no breakfast as we like to wander into the town and visit Breakaway. the location of this hotel cannot be beaten a short stroll and everything is at hand. We have always been greeted in a very friendly manner and nothing is any trouble for them. We will definatly be back again.

Room Tip: all of the rooms are top notch
