For the price we paid it was OK. But don't change seats in the dining room and be sure you know what you want for your evening meal when you are asked at breakfast. You do not seem able to vary your breakfast drink from tea to coffee (or vice-versa), once you have been asked at the first evening meal. The bitter in the downstairs bar is very good. However, the same beer in the function room is barely drinkable. How do they get that to work?
The first evening meal we had gave the impression (but I don't really know) that a lot of the food came from a tin. Breakfast was good on the whole, but my bacon was burnt round the edges on both days.

Room Tip: Can't help you there.

The couple who own the hotel are lovely, but they really need to bring it into the 21 century .The photos of the room's on the internet are of the new build at the side of the hotel they want to do something about the room at the front of the hotel, these room could be lovely the hotel inspector would have a field day here, A bit of advise for the owners sack your cleaner as they don't clean, the kettle we had to de-scale twice before we could use it and the shower had to be cleaned too. there was damp under the front bay window which you could smell as soon as you walked into the room and ceiling plaster cracked and peeling off but painted over, As previous reviews there furniture is from the 60's too.We tried the tea at night but it wasn't for us , and also a set time but there are plenty of eating places to go as the locations is really good, you can tell they mainly deal with coach party's for the older person. But even people on the coach where saying they wasn't happy with the room's full of dust and cobwebs. So until they update the hotel think twice before you book.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms they show on the internet ( the new build at side of hotel)

Although this establishment is supposedly a hotel, it really looks and feels like a guest house.
Its full of mismatched, dated furniture, artificial flowers and ornaments covering every surface.
Breakfast is ok, freshly cooked and plentiful but dinner (served at breakneck speed) is desperately plain cooking but just about ok. The dining room is long and narrow that urgently needs some TLC.
There are lots of Thank You cards displayed, so some guests must have enjoyed their stay but not me!
On a more positive note, the owners and staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: There is an extention built on the side so possibly those rooms are more up to date?

the hotel is located 100yards to the main street and 200yards to the beach the bus stop is at the end of the street with excellent service to see other resorts and villages along the coast
a lot of the furniture and plumbing is firmly stuck in the 1960's remember avocado plumbing
that apart the food was nothing fancy but well cooked and huge portions, nobody go's hungry here
at night the family keep everyone entertained with bingo or a paid singer ,or both
overall would stay here again and probably will as you could do a lot worst in skegness

Keith and I are having our holiday at the Leisure Hotel for the fourth year running with Coachstyle. We have enjoyed everything from the room, lounge, food and entertainment. Janet and Paul and their family and staff are shall we say ideal for this hotel. Looking forward to our stay again Would highly recommend to anyone..
