The Home Star was a nice place to stay, good room with all that you require and very clean and tidy and at the right price. It was a shame about the welcome though felt like a inconvenience rather than a guest; saw one lady at check in who took my money and that was it; try to get a drink at the bar without luck.

Room Tip: Beware that the single room I stayed in was small in size but adequate for one night stay; perhaps n...

I had a short break at the home star with my partner and found the service to be extremely warming and friendly. We also received a polite and respectful service from the owner which made are holiday very enjoyable. The home star also provided us with adequate parking which was also pleasant. Would highly recommend

We have stayed in many B & B's and this is the most friendly one we have ever stayed in. Annie was so very attentive and really cared about our stay there. The room was spotless and we needed nothing else. We were on the top floor and looked out the back.
Breakfast was lovely. Toast and cereal as much as was required. You helped yourself.
An evening meal was also available. We didn't partake but the people sat next to us were and they all ordered something different and it wasn't a problem. They were even given a choice of when they would like the meal.
It was a short stoll into the town centre.

We ( myself and my wife ) didn't arrive here till 10-30pm. We were greeted by 'Annie' who had waited around as she knew we would be arriving late. We were shown to room 7 on the 1st floor. A small but cosy double room with en suite shower. The bed was comfortable and must say I really slept well. Breakfast was excellent. Full English with toast and coffee. Annie is 6 months pregnant at the moment but this doesn't stop her doing all she can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in room 10, on the front of the hotel. The room and bed were comfy, with modern fixtures and fittings, especially in the en-suite shower room. The room was pleasantly warm thanks to the central heating. The breakfast was real value for money with a choice of cereal in addition to toast and a full english that consisted of Sausage,Bacon, Fried Egg, Fried Bread, Beans,Mushrooms and Tomatoes. The location was quiet, yet only a few minutes walk from the shops and sea front. We would highly reccomend this to anyone who wants a great value b&b. The staff were really attentive.

Room Tip: Our room was on the front of the hotel but it was quiet even though it's a only a short walk fro...
