“Basic but fantastic value for money”

Very clean, breakfast was worth it, I stayed in a single room no 121 which was near the stairwell so not quiet but it didn't stop me sleeping as Thebes was very comfy.
I ate in the bar which was not fancy but good value and good portions

I appreciate your comments. I am pleased you enjoyed your meals and had a good night sleep. Some of our single rooms are internal so do not enjoy the fantastic views over our golf course or sea. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back to the BEST WESTERN North Shore Hotel some time, hopefully we can arrange a room with a view.

We recently held our daughter's wedding reception at the north shore hotel in skegness. From the moment it was booked , the manager and staff could not have been more helpful. On the day the room was beautiful, the food was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were friendly and courteous at all times! It certainly helped to make a special day into a fantastically memorable day! We would certainly recommend the northshore as the perfect wedding venue! Also, on the next day ( Sunday ) a large family group stayed for the carvery lunch which was equally superb and extremely good value. Highly recommended !!

It was a pleasure to be able to host the wedding here. There was a fantastic atmosphere all day, I think the staff enjoyed it nearly as much as the happy couple.

We stop here regular during the winter usually just for one night. The family room is ideal. It has its own hall with a full size bathroom and two bedrooms, both with TVA and coffee facilities. The rooms are slightly tied in places but nether the less nice. The public areas also could do with a revamp, carpets are a bit old fashioned etc but its clean and the staff are really friendly. The bar meals are excellent, we have never had a bad one and the breakfast is top quality.

Room Tip: If you want a family room go for 116-17 as its bigger than the others. Excellent breakfast.

Booked in for the weekend on the golf deal and was more than adequate. Was put in refurbed room which was good, if a little warm. Nice bed and shower with good choice on tv.

Food was a 3 course carvery which was very good with choice of starter, meats and pudding.

Breakfast was also good with excellent service all round.

The golf course was busy and therefore slow 5hr rounds. Considering the weather it was in pretty good condition.

Would definitely come back again as its great value for money for holders of all standards.

Went March11th with a group of 46 for 3 days D B & B plus golf. As a group we have been going for several years now and I was a little apprehensive when I heard it had been taken over by a hotel chain namely Best Western. I need not have feared a lot as things were much the same as previous years and in fact in many ways there was some improvement. My room 122 had been refurbished and decorated and was more than adequate. The freeview was good with an excellent wall mounted flat screen TV. The food has always been good but this year it was excellent and the service in the dining room by Jo and Marius???(who has been there 6 years now) was brilliant. They are a real credit to the hotel and managed a very busy service at both breakfast and dinner very efficiently and with an appropriate sense of humour. The chefs in the kitchen produced first class breakfasts and some lovely dishes for the evening meal and the carvery on the 2nd evening could not have had better meats very genouresly served. The weather was dreadful and that produced the only problem in the hotel as the heating was not working well enough throughout the hotel. My room was OK but some of the lads had to have extra heaters and the TV lounge was like a fridge on one night. The heating did appear to be a problem and that was one of the reasons why I have not given 5 stars. The water pressure for the shower could also have been a bit better than the one I had. The only drawback with the change over to Best Western appears that the staff are now tied to set down procedures and prices. Many of our group left the hotel on an afternoon by taxi to go for a drink in town becuase of the beer prices £3.25 for a pint of Smooth. A happy hour would certainly have kept the majority in the hotel. The golf professional was unable to allow use of a buggy for 9 holes at half price as there were no facilities for him to do so as it had to be entered into the system. JUST A COUPLE OF SAD POINTS BUT WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

I am pleased you have taken the time to leave your comments for us. Firstly I am happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are always trying to improve the service offered and the facilities available, so your comments on the room decor are gratefully received. I have looked into the possibilty of a reduced rate for the golf buggies and hopefully will have further info on that soon.

As you stated the weather during your stay was not ideal, but I am pleased this did not spoil your time with us. We all look forward to seeing the group again next year. Hopefully you can bring a bit of sunshine with you next time!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for one night on the 23rd feb 2013, we played golf prior to checking in and the course was in exceptional condition considering the weather conditions.. Snow !!!!!. We we checked in swiftly and efficiently by the friendly staff, the room was spacious and warm and offered tea and coffee making facilities. We spent a while in the bar with friends having a drink and a bar meal which was excellent value for money and lots of variety on offer.
The on suite bathroom was spotless and toiletries were provided, lots of hot water for a hot bath which was great after being out playing golf in the cold.
The beds were very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep waking up ready for the excellent breakfast which was by far the widest menu I have seen available in a hotel for a while. Check out was swift and again staff were proffesionals and friendly.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone for a break of any length, excellent facilities in a fantastic location, golfer or non golfer this hotel caters for all.

Stayed at this hotel Friday to Sunday on a golf weekend. This was a special deal comprising of 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast with 3 rounds of golf for £140. Evening meals were excellent with a great choice of meals including pheasant, salmon, lamb to name a few, puddings and starters were also to a high standard. The rooms are clean and tidy with all your usual toiletries replenished daily, the rooms were a little on the small side but we managed. Bar prices were reasonable and had a good selection of drinks on offer, they also have a large games room with a snooker and pool table to pass the night away. Breakfast was as good as the evening meals and set us up for the day on the course, all of the hotel staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful, nothing being too much trouble. If you are looking for a great hotel with lovely course to play then i recommend this place. We shall be returning next year.
