I stayed from Tuesday till Saturday the 14 th June , the owners Liz & Roy had only taken over the hotel 6 weeks previous, but what fantastic hosts, when I pulled up in the car from work, one of them would shout cup o tea Jules ? We would sit outside having a natter for a couple of hours, then I would retire to my comfy room for a Bath/shower, Breakfast was excellent, kept me going for the day, I didn't only get a great hotel but hope I made some friends too !

The reviews here need a line drawn between the old and new owners. Liz was helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble from taking time to explain how the tv worked (I didn't see the right switch, d'oh!) to providing a 'veggie' option for breakfast. The room was large, clean and airy. The en-suite was a 'nice' size with a large walk-in shower. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room on arrival are always welcome. The bed was comfy, and the hotel is in a quiet location. Only a five minute walk from the Beach and the clock tower but far enough not to hear any revellers leaving the pubs late at night. Breakfast was when we wanted it and was excellent. A lovely choice of fruit, cereals and fresh juice. A full English breakfast that had that sparkle of quality over quantity along with copious amounts of coffee and brown & white toast. We were allowed to leave our car in the hotel car space as we were spending the day so saving us moving it and paying for parking elsewhere. We will go again and will not hesitate in recommending the hotel to friends and family. A great short weekend break!

Dazlin stayed for a 3 night break away from everything and couldn't have chosen a better b & b, the new owners Liz & Roy were a very welcoming couple and couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely, loved the lamps, breakfast the choice was endless and very tasty, well done and keep up the good work we will be returning and would recommend to anyone

It's the first time at fountaindale and definitely not the last, we normally go away for weekends now the kids have flown the nest, and this place has to be one of the top accommodation, very clean and tidy. The shower packed up and we was immediately offered a new room, liz and Roy are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us
