Planned a visit to Skegness including a one night stay with a friend. We were given room 419, a twin with en suite and a sea view. The room was very spacious and we even had our own small corridor between our room and our en suite. There was a small, clean kettle and two good sized mugs with UHT milk and branded teas and coffees, with fresh milk available upon request. There was also a small-ish tv which was a good size for the room and the amount of use it had. The room also had two good sized mirrors, one of them floor length, which we found really handy when getting ready in the morning as we didn't have to fight for the mirror!! There were a couple of easy to get to plug sockets near the mirror which was handy for phone charging and hair styling.
The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean, I ended up sleeping like a log.
The staff on reception were very friendly and efficient and were very helpful whilst checking us in and out again.
I was surprised that there was no hair dryer in the bedroom, but was told that I could have rented one from reception for £5.
The breakfast was of good quality, but there wasn't much of a continental choice for those who did not want a cooked breakfast.
The bar selection was quite poor and the gentleman who served me wasn't very knowledgeable about the products.
Overall, at £61 for two people to stay one night and breakfast included, I would definitely stay here again/

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor.

Having stayed Twice at this charming Hotel, once was a last minute get away, and the other was for a four night stay Monday to Friday. large car park to the rear of the hotel, or is it the front, large reception area, first room was slightly small but we did have sea view or should I say part of one, 2nd stay room was very nice and slight larger room. both room were clean and tidy, towels too were clean, Breakfast is very good help ya self, evening meal was three course and a bit hit and miss in quality but there was a choice, at breakfast you were required to fill in your choice. The bar can become very crowded, the staff are very helpful, there are special offers on through out the year, value for money, thinking of going at Christmas 2014

Room Tip: try and get a room with a sea view

Me and my partner stayed for the day and evening at this great hotel we were the youngest there as it was the rotary clubs anniversary they all seemed to be having a wonderful time, we had a huge room overlooking the gardens and with sea view although it was a foggy April day it was still gorgeous, the food was delicious always tickles me watching people getting their own toast especially as there was alot of canes and zimmers i think on this occasion it would have been better if someone was helping them with it, but i can't fault the place , clean nice friendly what more can you ask for.

Enjoyed a short four nights stay, with my wife and another couple.
Reception was very efficient, nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was adequate and the evening meals and the service was excellent. The room was clean, but a little dated ( I find this to be the norm for English sea-side hotels ) the bathroom was a bit on the small side but again clean and adequate. I didn't try the bar meals but what I saw of the food it looked good. The only negative is that the drinks in the bar are pricey.
Other than that nothing major to complain about.

Room Tip: The second or third floor sea facing rooms are better. Avoid the ground and lower floors.
