Description: We are a country pub, located 14 miles from Boston, 8 miles from Skegness, we boast a large car park, beautiful garden with patio and heated smoking hut.Inside we offer a large conservatory overlooking the garden, which leads into the public bar, with 2 drinking areas and a separate dining room on the side overlooking the countryside. We close all day Monday and serve evening meals from Tuesday to Saturday evening and lunches from Friday to Sunday. We get very busy in the evenings and on a Sunday Lunch, so we do recommend to book!! We offer fresh prepared food using reputable suppliers and make majority of the dishes here on sight, we pride ourselves on Proper Food in a clean comfortable cosy yet modern village pub with restaurant.

“Excellent! The best restaurant in the area!”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

We've visited the Barley Mow a few times and have always had fantastic meals and impeccable service.

This is a lovely cosy country style pub, with a gorgeous menu. The tea for less menu is brilliant value, but the evening and specials menu are also worth paying list price for.

I visited last weekend, on a very busy Friday evening, without a booking. We were advised there would be a 15 minute wait for our table, which was perfect, time for a pre meal drink! After our orders were taken we were shown to our table, the food was stunning and although the chips were missed from our original order, they came quickly and were cancelled from our bill (a generous touch) - FYI the handcut chips were well worth the wait!

The two standout features with the Barley Mow are the gorgeous food and brilliant staff.

Looking forward to visiting again this weekend.

“Lovely food, great value”
Reviewed 5 November 2013 via mobile

We visited with three kids, two of whom are pretty fussy. We arrived and were seated in the cosy bar area, where there's a lovely wood burning stove. The menu is very tempting and we were spoilt for choice- hubby had the belly pork, as did our oldest lad, I went for the chicken with mushroom and tarragon and the fussy kids had scampi (they kindly accommodated our request for an adult portion for the older one). The food was delicious, and accompanied by a very generous, deliciously prepared selection of vegetables. Just fab. I don't even like cauliflower cheese , but the rich, tangy sauce won me over. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

“Very good”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

Very good food and would definitely recommend. it's a bit out of town but well worth the effort to go. Good price, good food and good portions. There's a good, varied menu and the service was very friendly. There was a good childrens menu and they allowed some smaller portions of adult meals which was great.

“Lovely food and well worth a visit”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

Have visited here twice over the summer. The food is lovely, quantities are very ample and food is very reasonably priced. The staff are really polite and service is friendly. Well worth the 10 minute drive out of Skegness. It's a real gem on all counts.

“Very tasty food”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

We didn't book in advance but turned up on a Saturday evening; although the place was very busy the staff were helpful and found us somewhere to sit. I had a steak pie and it was very tasty with quality meat and fresh seasonal veg. For desert I had sticky toffee pudding this was also very good (and not too heavy). Overall the food was very good, the prices were reasonable and there is a good sized car park.
