We booked last minute and chose because it claimed to have use of Oasis health club next door, which included a pool. Check in time was 2pm we arrived around 430pm and were told the pool only allows children up until 2pm....We were only staying for one night. We then went next door for the bowling alley for entertainment.....let's just say the 1980's are calling and want their bowling alley back....it was very dated....we played a couple of games and decided to get something to eat there was Wimpy Concession which was very poor... food was cooked to order but was off poor quality. Kids enjoyed the bowling and the arcade games. We decided to go to the pool in the morning before 9am as we had to leave then...we were then told that hotel guests could only use the pool after 9am! Asked why and were told the club had 3k members!

Well no the rooms, clean and had what we needed double size shower. The shower holder in the second room was broken so they had to use it by holding it up!
Service great on check in, explanation about pool from evening guy not so helpful.
Bed was lumpy, could feel the springs and it was a very small double.
Wouldn't really return as it was in a dull area, but as we only needed a short notice room for the night, it did the job.

Staying for three nights, Sat to Tues. We have used travel lodges etc all over and this hotel is miles better. We wanted a relaxing time away staying in bed watching TV and going to the pool, so we were in the room a lot. Yes the bed was too firm for us; but the room and hotel was clean and basic and a good price. The TV was limited to 5 channels and no subtitles but wireless wifi good. Clean towels every day and they were painting the ground floor hall when we were there.

The icing on the cake is the large swimming pool, 3x saunas; plus a massive gym with ladies only area. All this and more is all next door in a large building with dominates the hotel and car park. To say that this was next door there was very little noise or traffic and there are lots and lots of parking, we parked right outside our room not a problem, but then we did not go out much.

We had a room on the 1st floor, over the reception at the back away from the road. Our room was at the end of the building which meant the lift and the stairs were outside the door. To say they were there we had very little noise even with the hotel at 1/3 full and being a week end. The front office staff and the back room staff were friendly and helpful.

Sure some bit in the bathroom need a bit of a bleaching for the small amount of mould in the cracks and the beds need to be a bit softer, but we will be rushing back for a nice week end next month.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter.

Nothing special here, was just needing something last minute for business, suited a purpose and ordered a takeaway in. It was pretty reasonable and rooms big enough. Service friendly enough but limited parking outside.

We were in Rotherham for the Magna Beer Festival.
Coming from the North on the M1, it couldn't be easier to find. Come off at Junction 35, turn left and it's on that road. Continue on that road and you're in Rotherham - £4 in a taxi which the hotel booked for us.
The hotel let us check in early.
Pretty basic - breakfast box available or go to the hotel next door - eat all you want for £4.
The room was clean and large, the bathroom was a good size with a good shower.
I would recommend this but not for a romantic break. Ideal for us as a group of friends - all couples!
PS - there is a gym and pool you can use in the health club next door but we didn't use the facility so I can't comment.

stayed here on the Saturday night it was a decent location for Sheffield Arena about 3 miles away(could not get anywhere nearer) on arrival the Receptionist was very polite and ordered us a taxi for later, the double room was of a good size and was clean and nicely decorated, there was a public house literally 200 yards away so we thought we would sample a few beers and a bite to eat, it is advertised as a Carvery with a separate dining area so gave it a bash, the Carvery was vile and represented something looking like slop, i would recommend not eating at the Pub and finding somewhere else if you are peckish although the beer was cheap enough, anyway back to the Hotel, the room we stayed in as i said was decent but the Mattress was another story, it was certainly very worn as every time you moved the springs or what is left of them would creak and the mattress on the whole definitely is in need of replacing resulting in a disturbed nights sleep and both of us with aching backs the following morning. The Bathroom was good with a very powerful shower and a real plus was no noise from the cleaners banging about early morning.Would i stay here again? Probably not as we will try and get an hotel closer to the Arena in future to save on taxi fares which incidentally was £6.50 each way although we had to pay an extra £1.50 each on the tram back to Meadowhall as the taxi would not pick us up from the Arena ( very strange).

Room Tip: check the condition of the mattress before you settle in for the night
