We have stayed here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Always quite cheap via Late rooms, rooms are great, warm comfortable and quiet. The Hotel is so easy to get to, just off Sheffield Parkway, but far enough away to be completely devoid of traffic noise or any other noise come to that. There are meals served downstairs and there is a nice bar, but the whole of Sheffield is just down the road. The wife loves this Hotel as it is literally 2 miles or so away from Meadowhall!! All in all, a brilliant place, offers are avaialbe if you shop around and the place is perfect for a family visit (with a hotel room to escape back to) or if you are visiting Sheffield for something else.

Spent 2 nights with dinner over the Grande Depart weekend. Hotel undergoing refurbishment as it is now a part of the Mercure chain. Ground floor still waiting but the view of the new dining room suggests it will soon be up to the standards of the rest of the hotel. Bedrooms quite large with a very well decorated shower and bathroom. Beds very soft and comfortable. Large screen TV, Fridge, safe and tea making facilities in the room.
Fixed dinner adequate but the a-la-carte looked good. Buffet breakfast OK but they do need to get staff numbers to match guest numbers. Sunday breakfast 3 young girls serving and one lad in the kitchen. Young girl on reception. If they know 37 people are leaving at 9am, they should realise that they would all come down to breakfast at about 8am.
As it is on the outskirts not a hotel that would appeal to us other than a stopover on the way to somewhere else.

Our son had bought us a 'Buyagift' voucher for a 2 night stay in a 4 star hotel at Christmas, as a gift to us for when my husband finished his Chemo treatment. Booked this in March, as this hotel has very good reviews on the whole, and I am pleased to say we were not disappointed. Received an excellent welcome, as we were early arriving they checked to see if room was ready and let us know when it was. Extremely well equipped room, veryclean and spacious, very generous supplies of Tea/Coffee etc, even included a mini-fridge! was was very welcome as it was very warm a few weeks ago and able to keep drinks and snacks cool.
The bathroom had a walk-in shower, and last but not least (regarding the room) even provided an iron and ironing board stored in wardrobe.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful (especially Lisa), meals were very good, both evening meals and breakfast.

It truly deserves the awards it has received, and wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

A nice clean room and comfortable bed, the usual facilities for a hotel of this type. However the public areas are something out of the 1960s. Cream cream and cream no colour dull and very dirty. The carpet in the restaurant either needs throwing out or cleaning, more transport cafe than hotel, it was covered in ground in dirt more spots than leopard. Clearly they cater for parties of which there were several when we stayed, so not trying to attract the fussy visitor. Fine for the odd night but wouldn't stay for more than that. Food was good in the restaurant in the evening, but it is not somewhere you would go for a evening out, as the décor is unwelcoming and cold. Good chef but not good restaurant environment... it matters.

Clean, comfortable & friendly. Functional, not resort, but a good spot. Very helpful - when a third night couldn't be accommodated reception phoned around and found another hotel - even negotiated the same room rate! Close to Meadowhall for post-work shopping :) Recommend for business travellers.

All the staff very friendly and helpful. Why can't all hotels have staff like these?
Nothing was a problem. Everyone was very professional and efficient and yet wecoming and seemed to have time for the guests. Room comfortable and quiet. Food excellent quality and value.

Don't hesitate to book here, was the best night sleep I have ever had in a hotel, beds so comfortable, no noise even though we were near the car park and it was full. Everything in the room and hotel immaculately clean. Staff helpful. breakfast plenty of and to suit all tastes.
What more can you ask for just book here!
