We stayed here on our way to york and were pleasantly surprised at the whole experience, its a small hotel run by a lovely married couple steve & una,the rooms are small but ample, there is a small bar downstairs next to the resteraunt, steve is the chef and boy can he cook he came out to tell us every ingrediant in the meal we loved the food! we will stay at the lynebank guest house again if given the chance the total bill for the stay with food and drinks was only £97.00 fantastic.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Edinburgh and despite arriving when we'd said and booked to have a meal, the proprietor told us after showing us to our room that the kitchen would be closing in half and hour. The hotel was empty besides one sole overnight bed only ocuppancy and although the steak was tremendous the family room was very noisy most of the night from the noise of the traffic passing just outside the hotel.

We stayed at the Lynebank house hotel with my family on route to Alton Towers and what a fantastic place to stay. Una is a marvellous host and made us feel like part of her family and after our long journey made us very welcome. The room was great, very spacious (just a little noisy because it was at the front of the hotel). Breakfast was first class. I hope it wont be too long til we return thank you Una and Steve for your hospitality

We stayed here on our way down the Lincs and I would definately recommend it. The accommodation was clean and the owners were so child friendly. The evening meal was great and the whole stay was fantastic value for money. We will definately be back.

We were looking for a base to explore the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands and stumbled across the Lynebank Gust House situated only a few miles from the M6. Steve and Una are a very hospitable couple who made us feel very much at home. Steve is an excellent chef (promise we will try a steak next time! ) and Una is a marvellous host who could not do enough to make us feel any more welcome. The family room we had was large and comfortable albeit was a a liitle noisy as the hotel is situated on a main road. The hotel is excellent value for a family and together with the very warm welcome makes a stay at the Lynebank a thoroughly enjoyable experience
