As other reviewers have said, Sue and Warren were wonderful: nothing was too much trouble at all. The accommodation itself is really well-located and was quiet. Our room was comfortable and spotless. The guests' sitting room is a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine! Great breakfast and the well is a good feature to entertain the children!

Comfortable, clean room. Warm friendly welcome. Great breakfast. Lovely countryside with so many places to visit. What more can you ask for?

Mum and I arrived for a short break in what could only be described as awful weather. But Sue and Warren pulled out all the stops to give us a perfect couple of days. We will certainly be back.

I arrived at Crossroads House without reservation, after cycling 100 miles from Edinburgh in very poor weather, tired and wet. They had a secure store for my valued bike. Sue and Warren offered to dry my wet clothes and after a shower they kindly drove me 2 miles to the nearest pub so that I could enjoy a welcome beer and hot supper. They collected me from the pub. Their attitude and care was 100%. The B & B was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good and set me up for the next 100 miles heading south (over Shap). Thank you Sue and Warren.

My husband and I, together with a friend, stayd here last weekend. The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The history of the house is very interesting and there are booklets with more information about it. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very comfortable and everthing we needed was to hand. It is obvious that a lot of thought has been given to making visitors welcome.

As Hotel Liaison Officer for the Pirelli International Rally I used this B & B for the first time under its new management. Over the week my 25 residents were delighted with the personal service they received from Sue and Warren. They were willing to go the extra mile to satisfy the requirements of a major international car rally. They are already booked for next year.

Room Tip: The motorway is 5 minutes away at Junction 42.
