“Warm welcome and delicious homemade food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

We had travelled by steam train from Leeds to Carlisle and I had read great reviews about Anazao so headed that way with my sisters and Mum for lunch. Unfortunatly it had a private party so it was meant to be closed, but the party and owner were so lovely and welcomed us in to join them, and we're so glad they did! What a brilliant, quirky tea room with a tasty selection of food at a great price. We'd definatley visit again if we're in Carlisle.

“A delightful experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

Went to this beautiful tearoom with my partner for a special tea for two. We chose the 'scrumptious' option and the name says it all. We had delicious hot pastries, followed by beautiful sandwiches, yummy homemade scones then a slice of the best carrot cake I have ever tasted, then I was allowed to have my tray bake of rocky-road home with me as I could not possibly eat anymore. The lovely couple that own the tearoom where very friendly making our experience even more special. A day I will treasure forever. If I am ever back in Carlisle I will definitely be back. I would recommended this place to everyone - you will leave with a smile on your face.

“Simply wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

What a perfect place to have the most perfect afternoon tea! We'd travelled to Carlisle on the train from Leeds as a birthday treat and luckily our friend had discovered Anazao on the internet, as it is very close to, but slightly hidden from the main shopping area. This place is a gem! The table was decorated with birthday banners and laid out with beautiful china and lovely tablecloth and napkins. Nothing was too much trouble for Roz and her wonderful , smiley waitress! The selection of sandwiches were delicious, the cakes and scones were so light and fresh and the salads were prepared exactly as we had requested! And, so reasonably priced! What a wonderful day out- a trip enjoying the stunning scenery on the Settle to Carlisle railway line and then gorgeous afternoon tea served by the most delightful staff! We told so many people about it on the train home so word may spread!

“lovely tea room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Please make a visit to this lovely tea room , very welcoming with a nice frIendly atmosphere.
Having used my taste card at various eateries it wasn't a problem here but as advised with a taste card pre booking is essential.
A nice choice of sandwiches and cakes served on lovely china, if you are a fan of tea rooms then
you will enjoy this one.
