My wife & I walked the 84 miles in June of this year, we walked west to east starting at Bowness-on-Solway.

“Hadrians Wall”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Very interesting and picturesque visit along Hadrians Wall. Nice easy trip from the Premier Inn. You can see at least 4 sites in a day and probably even further. Well worth seeing if you are interested in history.

“Back to school!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

What did I miss or not listen too when doing my History classes. Thought the Wall was a heap of stones. The young man who talked to us before our wander round really knew his stuff and shared his enthusiasm, painting a picture impossible to forget. We spent our remaining time walking around and being a part of those faraway years. Fantastic. don't miss the Roman Army Museum!

“We went to Birdoswald”
Reviewed 4 October 2013

It was incredible to find remanants of a 2000year old culture and see the structures created in this time. The structure of the fort belied how many people who must have lived in the fort and maintained vigil over the border and the 300 odd years.
