I stayed here for one night and wished I could have stayed longer. The owners of this extremely clean, cozy and beautifully decorated B&B are warm, hospitable and helpful folk. There is a common lounge area in addition to the comfortable chairs in the rooms. I was on the top floor and had very good access to the free wifi. Warwick Lodge is a 5 minute walk to the town center and an even shorter walk to the pretty walking path along the River Eden. Without any hesitation I would stay here again.

stayed here 2 nights with 4 of us in a spacious room.2 of us arrived really early but had no problem checking in as the room was ready.the owner is really nice and it does feel like visiting family.breakfast was fab & i really liked the way you chose what you wanted and the time the day before.the extra touch of them remembering what drink you have in the morning was nice.would say again as the location is great too.

Stayed 2 nights for my daughters graduation and staying here was the finishing touch. The owner was so friendly and helpful and the place was spotless - I do mean spotless! The food was top notch and plenty of it with loads of choice. Close to the city centre and some really great restaurants. Will we stay again? Absolutely - we're looking forward to coming back later in the year.

The only downside was the heat, our stay was in the hottest week of the year and sleeping with the windows open was a bit noisy - but then so are the seagulls at home. Have an extra glass of wine with dinner and you'll be fine.

I booked a triple and a twin room for two nights for my own (very chilled out) hen weekend. On the day we were due to book in, Mary, one of the owners, called me to ask if we'd be arriving soon, as she needed to go and do some shopping and didn't want us being stranded. Very thoughtful! She was also very helpful in suggesting a place for us to eat on the Friday night as we were looking for a "special" meal. We received a very friendly welcome when we arrived, and Mary chatted to us whenever we saw her.

The rooms were brilliant, very comfortable and good sized. Being summer there was a little traffic noise with the windows open, but not enough to be a problem at all. We were given menus for the next morning's breakfast both days so we could have freshly cooked/prepared meals - between the five of us we had quite a good selection and they were all delicious. On our second morning, they remembered that we had both tea and coffee drinkers and immediately bought us a pot of each when we arrived downstairs.

Free wifi throughout the B&B was very good, a set of towels provided for each guest (face cloth, hand towel and bath towel), a wardrobe with hangers, alarm clock, tea, coffee and hot chocolate with biscuits to accompany them... all the little touches that make this B&B almost a home from home!

All in all, this was an amazing B&B, very friendly, comfortable and welcoming throughout, and I would definitely head back there if I go to Carlisle again (which hopefully I will!)

We always go here when we are in Carlisle.
It good value for money, very child friendly and breakfast is great. Nick and Mary are so helpful, the nicest people. When traveling with children knowing what you get is so important. We couldn’t be happier.
