“Good hotel”
Reviewed 22 March 2013

Stayed here to allow an early morning meeting in N. England. Very convenient to M6, though not too close for noise to be a big issue. Rooms a good size, modern, very clean and comfortable. Only downside was the heating control was constantly noisily clicking on and off and the heating was only a wall mounted convector heater which struggled to keep the room warm (the weather was frosty outside). Staff very helpful, though keen to sell the meal deal (£22.99 for a 3 course evening meal and breakfast). The meal deal was ok, if a little expensive: Dinner and first drink were reasonable, the breakfast was less impressive, more quantity than quality, and the "Costa" coffee was self-service coffee in a flask, not the individually made Costa Americano I was expecting, however service for both were ok.
Overall, a good place to stay to break up long North/South trips.

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on business in the Carlisle area. No problems with the rooms at all. Food in the restaurant was as I've come to expect from a Table Table. One night hotel was evacuated due to the fire alarms going off, handled very well by the night receptionist and no had problems whatever claiming back on the good nights guarantee as a result. If in the area again on business would have no issues in staying here again.

I've used this Premier Inn on a couple of previous occasions.

I'd not bothered using the pub/restaurant before this visit as past reviews of it wren't very good.

Sorry but I won't bother again. The food was poorly presented (fish delivered obviously upside down on the plate) and the staff were more interested in chatting about their personal lives than keeping an eye on me and anticipating when I may want to order another drink or more food.

Back at the Inn the room and staff very good, just like on previous vivits.

I chose this hotel as a stopover en route to Scotland. It's location, right by M6 was ideal. The staff were extremely welcoming and seemed genuinely passionate about their jobs. The rooms, recently refurbished, were very comfortable and clean. The only downside was thet, even turned up full, the heating didn't get the bedroom very warm. Evening meal was the usual pub fayre, not special, but good value for money. Breakfast was excellent. I'd stay here again.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Edinburgh. We arrived really late , tired after a long journey and were greeted by friendly, helpful check-in staff. Quiet, comfortable room to usual high standard - spotlessly clean.
Restaurant breakfast again to high standard and Staff were again exceptionally helpful and pleasant.
Excellent location close to motorway, when part way through journey as we were - not chosen for scenic purposes.
Would definitely use this hotel again and recommend to other travelers.

I stayed with my daughter for 1 night on 18 February 2013 and would totally recommend this hotel. Easy access off the M6 with plenty of car parking and even though close to M6 we could hear no noise in our room. The reception staff were so nice, friendly an attentive. We ate in the attached pub and the standard of food was amazing and the staff were also very friendly and attentive. Our room was very modern, clean and spacious. Well worth the £29 Premier offer I paid.

its conveniently located to access different parts of the Lake, just off the motorway and not far from Scotland. Staff on the reception go over and beyond ; providing tips on great gastro pubs, weather and more..

The rooms are always of a high standard; in terms of cleanliness, well stocked coffee and tea(always ask for more at no extra price) and amazing flat screen TV.

The pub on site is amazing - breakfast is better than some Hilton / Holiday Inns which I have stayed in. Costa coffee, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast to order and clean, relaxing restaurant.
It's such great value for money that we are returning for the third time!

Even though it's off the motorway, it is set back and quiet - you can't hear the traffic.

You always know what to expect with the Premier Inn here and never let down. check out at 12.00 so no rush on a Sunday morning!.
