Bathroom was inadequate for a disabled person. No shower access unless one "climbed" into the bath - very dangerous.

Bed was very small for a double. Nothing like Lenny Henry's advert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comments about your recent stay with us here at Carlisle M6J42 Premier Inn. At Premier Inn we strive to provide an excellent service for all of our guests and I am disappointed that on this occasion we did not deliver this.

I am very sorry that you found the disabled room inadequate; we do not have any walk in showers at this hotel however the Carlisle Central Premier Inn does have a wet room that would maybe be better for your requirements.

Your feedback is very important to us and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. If you would like to discuss the matter further do not hesitate to contact me on 08715278206.

We look forward to welcoming you back to a Premier Inn Carlisle in the future.

Kind Regards,
Julie L

Stayed here for a couple of nights as a base to visit the Northern Lakes, Hadrian's Wall and Scottish border country, all within an easy half hour drive. Hotel is the usual Premier Inn quality: very clean and comfy room, good bed and large wall mounted TV. Some motorway noise with the window open but when window was closed it was perfectly soundproofed. Staff friendly and efficient, as always. Breakfast in the restaurant was particularly good - freshly cooked to order and very tasty, one of the best I've had at Premier Inn. Food in the evening there was okay but nothing special.
Only negative point was that there was an odd smell in the room, not drains, but definitely odd. It wasn't strong enough or unpleasant enough to complain about and didn't spoil our sleep. Perhaps just the cleaning products they use. However overall it was a very pleasant stay and we'll continue to use Premier Inn as our #1 choice of hotel chain.

Excellent staff, food and rooms, really good value. Staff charming and helpful which is one of the reasons we tend to use Premier Inns. Hotels is situated close to motorway but there was no noise from it.

We broke up our trip to Scotland on a Friday by staying here overnight before we went on to Montrose. The location was easy to find just off the motorway into Carlisle and even though it was on a main road into Carlisle,it was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. We had a evening meal and a breakfast and both were well served and delicious. For those of you who like walking,it would be about a half hour to three quarters to walk to the middle of Carlisle but we had no problems parking as I my partner is disabled so we parked near the shops. All in all,I very good Prermier Inn.

Very comfortable room, good food and service. They guarantee a good nights sleep and with the comfortable mattress and choice of pillows, it would hard not to sleep well. Great value for money. The hotel is just off the M6 and very a great place to stay over on either a trip to Scotland or down to the Lakes.

Room Tip: Some room are upstairs and down long corridor. If you have mobility problems take care to specify a room close to reception.
