“Great stop-over with friendly service.”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

A one night stay on a sunny Saturday. We arrived at 5pm and the outside tables at the pub next door were so busy we kind seriously doubted we’d get any peace here.
How wrong we were, being honest our first impressions were way off mark.

The hotel receptionist was efficient and friendly. She booked us into the restaurant for our evening meal and for breakfast the next morning.
Both were absolutely lovely and no complaints from us as the food and service was top notch during a busy evening. Breakfast was great, cooked perfectly and we were well attended by friendly, polite staff.
The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom was starting to look a little tired with a mouldy ceiling and a bit of mould between the tiles. The power shower and water temp were fantastic though.
Most amazing to us was how quiet it was. We didn’t get disturbed once and considering how busy the pub was (on the first sunny weekend we’ve had this year) it really was a surprise.
I’d have no problems using this Premier Inn again as a stop over when we’re in the area.
We purchased 24 hour WiFi for £3 and were able to utilise this on two devices.

Stayed at this hotel in January due to having to attend a funeral. Upon our arrival, we received a very warm welcome from the Receptionist on duty. The same member of staff was further helpful when we had to enquire where the crematorium was as we were not familiar with the area. She kindly provided us with a printed out map and full directions.
The room was as we have experienced in other premier inns, comfortable and very clean.
We had breakfast the next morning in the adjacent restaurant, which set us up well for the long day ahead and was cooked exactly as requested.

We have stayed here more than once, visiting relatives and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms spotless. being virtually in the Country park is an added bonus-you can walk off your breakfast with a stroll round the lake!

I rang up the hotel to see if the sat nav code would work and was told generally yes. Unfortunately I was taken to a football grounds. I think the right sat nav code does need finding for the hotel as travelling by night it is so tricky and stressful to find.
However the young lady on reception was great - as was the young man in the Beefeater. The room was fine, plenty of parking and a peaceful spot (once you find it) I liked the fact that they were organising a book sale for charity and the young lady at reception was very helpful and enthusiastic a credit to the company. I'd stay again, but would welcome more helpful guidance on how to find it.

ad to make a sudden trip to Bedford due to a relative being admitted to hospital as an emergency admission. Therefore, had to find a hotel at 9 pm near the hospital. Nearest available was the Premier Inn Bedford Marina.

Booked on line (Good job, hotel was full on arrival) and got to hotel after being at hospital about 01.00.
Room clean & pleasant. Slight drawback in that heating was off due to time of night. However, bed was very comfortable. Sleep slightly disturbed by somebody down the corridor banging on the door and demanding admission to a room. I was that tired I slept soon after but my wife said it went on for some time until a member of staff sorted it out.
The breakfast was next door in the Beefeater grill. We'd paid £8.00 for a cooked breakfast and £5.00 for a continental breakfast. Having stayed at other budget chains, I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast we'd ever had in such an establishment. We will definitely be using Premier In from now on.

another very good premier inn,all the staff were brilliant and freindly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, but a bit dated, but no problems at all as we were only there for one night meeting freinds, there was a terrific bang (like a door being slammed at 3.45am it did wake me and my wife and would think it woke a lot of others) it is set in a lovely location, parking can be a bit tight at times. bedford shopping is not to far, perhaps have a longer break in future and visit the area more, the lakes and local parks, rivers look nice, thank you premier inn.

Room Tip: rooms a bit dated, parking can be tight.
