Four of us had lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had Cullen Skink, my wife had a coronation sandwich with chips, the others had the club sandwich and a tarragon chicken ciappata with chips. Worth visiting for the chips proper chips homemade and lush.

Visited here on a blustery, damp day. The restaurant was very busy, but we were made to feel welcome. Drinks provided promptly and then had the best (and I have eaten a few) omelette ever. We both had omelettes (one mushroom and one smoked haddock)' salad and chips to die for. Very reasonable price and recommended very strongly.

4 of us had lunch here today . comfortable seats, nice and warm, papers and magazines.Staff polite and efficient. Menu offering sandwiches etc but all of a high standard and nicely presented. Also offering specials and away from the usual scottish lunch choices.Had the smoked salmon platter served with salad, homemade tartar sauce and two big slices of balmoral type bread.delicious.surroundings traditional old style scottish.

We popped in to the Station Restaurant for lunch (situated in the old station buildings at the terminus of the old Deeside railway) on a wonderful alpine clear February day with clear skies and snow on the hills.
The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but rapidly filled up to the extent people were being turned away. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the lunch menu has a wide selection of dishes including a list of specials. My Cullen Skink was excellent, and it was nice to find somewhere that made real potato chips, properly cooked, rather than the reconstituted potato dust specials served by many restaurants. The décor has been kept traditional, and value for money is good.

Popped in for a quick snack on a cold, rainy weekend.
Met by a smiling waitress and shown to a table next to a heater - great.
Plenty to choose from on the menu as well as on the specials board.
Opted for a toasted sandwich and couldn't resist the sound of the homemade chips to accompany. Wasn't disappointed they were great.
My husband had the Cullen Skink which was so thick and rich his spoon stood up in it. He enjoyed it although he said it repeated on him for the rest of the day.
I would have given 5 stars but there was one let down - the aforementioned heater....it was filthy and covered with food spills and grime. There really no excuse for not keeping all parts of the public areas clean and it does make you wonder what the areas you don't see are like.
