“Ballater walking week”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

Walkers were granted access to dine at the beautifully located Golf club.

We were warmly welcomed to the club by an excellent barman and made to feel at home.

Seated at a table with views over a sunlit course with mountains in the ground. The menu had 3/4 options for starter main and pudding - the only problem being making a choice- We had an excellent meal at very reasonable price - a perfect evening.

“Easy dining & great golf”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

We ate here twice during our stay, & had several coffees before & after our rounds. Whether crowded or quiet, the service was always prompt. The food menu was traditional golf club fayre, with a special each day. Our meals were always well prepared & piping hot with really nice meat or fish. The ladies serving in the restaurant were very polite & friendly, especially Margaret, & they made us feel very welcome. Anyone in Ballater looking for a decent meal at a fair price should try here. Kids seemed to love the food from their own menu.
We played the course 3 times during our week, & enjoyed it. Whilst not overly long, it is a good challenge for us mere mortals. The greens were good & the fairways were well manicured. We enjoyed meeting Bill the pro, & found him very helpful.

“Great quality food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

First visit to this golf club and I am sure that it want be the last. The welcome, the choices on offer from the menu, the quality, the reasonable prices and the service were all first class. The views of the course and the surrounding vista while enjoying our meal all added to make a great visit. With high quality
8 ounce Sirloin steaks on offer from Sheridans of Ballater at £16 you know that you are on a winner.

“Great course and a big welcome to Golf Week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

We played this course 6 times in 7 days during Royal Deeside Golf week. Its a great course matched with a great welcome in the clubhouse.
The format was varied with mixed and mens/womens competitions and a Texas Scramble. All was brilliantly and smoothly organised.
You could never tire of playing the course which is in a spectacular setting near the river Dee and surrounded by the Highlands. Ballater itself is a lovely place to stay.
The golf week (second in May) is highly recommended but the course is worth playing anyway. Will be back!

“Bring your own clubs!”

Great golf course and very enjoyable round. We had to rent clubs however and the ones provided us were so old and outdated it was hard to play.
