“A perfect place from which to explore/enjoy the Dee Valley.”
Reviewed 22 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Tomidhu is an historic Scottish cottage, updated with an addition and completely modern amenities. It is in a beautiful location, with views and walks right outside the door. Ballater to the east and Braemar to the west are both interesting communities for shopping, eating out, and sight-seeing. We loved Tomidhu.

7 of us and 2 dogs stayed here. Lovely facilities and so clean. Great location for exploring the glens by foot or bike.

“Very comfortable property with excellent facilities in a good location.”

Lovely old highland property tastefully renovated to house 6 people plus dog very comfortably. Nearest town Ballater is 6 miles away but the big kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Very efficient wood burning stoves (wood supplied) give the house a friendly feel as April evenings in Highlands are still cold. Many great walks in the area. We had friends from Germany with 2 big boys with us and they all loved the place. Highly recommended!

“A Highland Haven”

Comfortable, warm, golden eagles and loads of biking or walking if there's no snow for skiing. Just what we were looking for.
