Our experience of Bistrot Pierre started out ok, with a reasonably quick dish of white bait for starters. All of our problems, however, started soon after this. We waited a whole one hour for the main course to appear, this was only after asking the waiters a couple of times about where it was. They had clearly forgotten about us because the meal came out in a terrible state. Half of it wasn't cooked properly at all. one of us had raw pastry under their Tarte flambé and the chips were soft with uncooked oil around the outside. One of the waitresses even had the cheek of saying that the pastry was cooked and that we didn't know what the pastry should look like. It was soggy, cold and translucent!!
The Poulet au citron was literally just a breast of chicken in the middle of a bowl with some creamy sauce on top. We were also given no choice over what sides we wanted with these meals. They simply came out with a sad looking bowl of vegetables and chips, without any explanation as to why they were there. The only plus point from this experience was that the manager was very understanding. He explained that the gas had gone out in the kitchen, making it very difficult to fulfil the orders. We found this excuse hard to believe, since there were plenty of other meals coming out of the kitchen over this period. Even if this was true, why were the staff not honest with us about this in the first place? I can safely say that this was the worst restaurant experience we have ever had and will not be returning to any Bistro Pierre's from now on.

Good evening Adam T

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent visit to our Bistrot. We absolutely welcome any feedback whether it be positive or negative. It highlights areas which are able to improve on, should that be additional training needed for our waiting staff or the quality of our food. Unfortunately, both would apply following your visit for which I very much apologise.

I would be greatful for the opportunity to discuss it with you my further if possible and would appreciate you contacting me directly at altrincham@pierre94.co.uk

Once again, thankyou for taking the time to offer your feedback

Arrived at 7.20 was greeted and seated almost right away , offered menu and asked if I wanted a drink. Order was taking within 10 minutes.

Had slow braised beef with red wine and fries waited 25 minutes was just about ask where it was and it arrived, the beef was delicious melt in mouth, hot and very tasty.

Had strawberry meringue and ice cream was equally tasty.

The food was very good indeed, however whilst I was there I heard 3 tables where there food was and 1 table left after asking for there desserts and waited sometime. Not overly busy 10 occupied tables inside and 4 outside.

Service slightly lets this place down a bit the front of house staff where very helpful but perhaps hampered by the kitchen sending out food. But don’t let this put u off !!!

My partner and I called in for breakfast. We had to wait 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table even though it was very quiet in there. We ordered coffees and breakfast, then the waitress came back to check the order. Another 10 minutes layer we asked if we could have our coffees! When the breakfast arrived mine was the wrong order and my partner had eggs and bacon on toast - only 1 side of the bread was toasted and the bacon was rock hard. I had to wait 15 minutes for them to make an omelette.
We tried to attract the attention of the manager but he ignored us. So we told the waitress of our complaints and asked if she could let the manager know, she apologised and said she would. We asked for the bill and the waitress advised they had given us a discount due to the troubles we'd had. On checking the bill they'd added on the wrong breakfast that they came to the table with, as well as the correct breakfast! We advised the waitress and she went to amend it. The manager came with the new bill and almost threw it on the table at us then walked off, not even a conversation or apology from him!! Therefore we will not be visiting here again. I think there is a staff training issue and the manager needs replacing!!

Stopped in Altrincham for one night at the Travel Lodge. Just round the corner was Bistrot Pierre. We had a really nice nice meal, good atmosphere and friendly efficient service. We thought the value for money was spot on and wouldn't hesitate to return.
