This hotel is located smack bang in the centre of town the car park is £5 to park and hard to locate, as you have to drive round the back of the hotel up a side street which isnt marked , it was noisy into the early hours and not the best place for a family ,the location is ideal for business as its close to tram for manchester but we stayed here after our holiday and it was not a good one for family ,Having said that it was very comfortable spotless and the staff were wonderful , breakfast is a bit pricey but kids eat for free which is great over all apart from the location it was a good place to stay for comfort and helpful staff ,

I stayed here for one night at the end of April prior to flying out of Manchester Airport early the next morning. Receptionists were efficient and very helpful regarding local questions. Metrolink was within 400 yards so getting into central Manchester was very simple. The bedroom was newly refurbished and for a solo traveller was plenty big enough. A couple of minus points, the first of which I was aware of, you cannot check-in before 3pm and secondly, the rooms have no phones, so have an alarm with you if you need an early call.

We stayed here the night before an early flight from Manchester. Location was ideal for the airport only being 10 mins or so away. The directions given by the hotel were spot on, could have been quite tricky to find otherwise - wasn't masses of parking but we did managed to get a space.
Travelodge room was very clean and comfortable and offered a great nights sleep. Didn't eat or drink so can't pass comment on that.
The only downside was there were no hairdryers, I'd gone down to reception as usual in Travelodges to borrow one but they had none left; the receptionist was very apologetic and said that there were to plans to get more but couldn't help at present. For me this was a major issue, without a hairdryer I couldn't wash my hair (girls will understand this!!!) Perhaps Travelodge should provide hairdryers in every room as most other hotels?
Overall though apart from the hair dyer issue everything else was ideal and would definitely stay again (taking my own hairdryer off course!!!)

I stayed at the Altrincham Travelodge for one night in April before catching an early flight. Found the hotel to be lovely and clean and in a central location. Quite a good choice of shops, bars and pubs in the area.
The room was very clean. Bed and pillows were new and of good quality. Plenty of hot water and nice white fluffy new bath and hand towels. Also a small bottle of shower gel and soap.
Please note; there are no telephones in the bedrooms so no early morning wake-up call. You will need to take an alarm clock and mobile phone. The hotel booked a taxi to the airport for me, which cost £10.
A big thanks to all the staff, they were all friendly, good at their jobs and seemed happy to help. I look forward to staying with you again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room

A nice clean modern hotel, ideal if you are traveling the next day from Manchester Airport. It's only a 10-15 min drive to the airport long stay car parks. Our only issue was with the noise from the pubs and clubs in the High street below, although this was a Friday night and would probably be ok during the week. The car park is a little small, but for the great price just isn't a problem if you get there early. The staff were really welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean and fresh.

We paid £22 to stay here, what a great deal. We had free parking, good service and a well appointed clean and functional room. Been in a lot worse hotels and paid considerably more. Definately a great value option, and handy for Manchester airport.
