My husband and I went to this café so that he could have his breakfast made for him as a treat. We placed our order, I only had a cappuccino as I was not particularly hungry but my husband wanted a barm cake with bacon, sausage and egg (or a banjo as it is sometimes called if you have a runny egg!!!). Whilst sat in the café there are large photographs on the walls which are the work of a local artist. The pictures were lovely to look at and made the café more friendly. The waitress was lovely and explained about the pictures, where they came from and also the one of the New York skyline which her partner took.
Anyway, back to the food. My husband devoured the barm cake and said that the bacon was tasty and fresh, the sausage were full of flavour and were cooked 'just right'. The egg was cooked cleanly and was just the right consistency for him. He felt very satisfied with the meal. Happy man, happy life.
This café caters for the worker and shopper and is a friendly place to sit and rest your aching feet. They do all the speciality coffees but also tea or juices. The prices are very reasonable and much more realistic than the Costa coffees, starbucks and the like, who over charge. Give this café a go, I doubt you will be disappointed (unless you like the overpriced 'speciality' coffee shops).
