We've stayed in quite a few Premier Inns over the past few years, and always found them to of a consistantly good standard for the money and Slough is no exception.
We stayed over the August bank holiday and considering that the hotel seemed fairly full, and is in the middle of being renovated, we had a very pleasant stay.

We had a couple of minor issues with our room, the window wouldn't close and the sink plug was too large to fit into the sink, but all was sorted quickly and efficiently.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel has its own Thyme restaurant, rather than a separate pub. The food is good, has a varied menu, and is reasonably priced.
The breakfast was self service with a good choice of English and continental.

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the railway station so makes a great base for visits to central London. An adult day ticket into London inc all tube travel, was less than £13.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked here as it was close to legoland. Arrived at hotel and was greeted by very friendly staff, room was spotless bed very comfy. Went down for evening meal service was a little slow but food was lovely. Had a great night sleep, then went for breakfast in the morning which was very nice and great service. Overall staff helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our stay and would definately return.

I chose this hotel because it was only a 10 min walk to the station where you can get a direct train into London (Paddington). We arrived around 6pm and there was plenty of parking spaces available. The receptionist was very welcoming and explained where everything was. She recommended booking a table for dinner as the restaurant gets very busy and she was right. There was complimentary bottles of water available. Although there is renovation work going on all areas were clean and tidy. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The food in the restaurant was very good, My husband had a pizza which was very tasty and filling and I had a burger which was huge. Lots to choose from for breakfast-Premier Inn really does do great breakfasts. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, the only thing I would say is that Premier Inn should consider free WiFi as most other hotels do these days.

We paid overall £281 for 3 nights, bed only. I have no idea how to get the £39? Per night, still on with the review.
Arrived midnight, yes, no parking space due to works, but manager immediately offered to move his car and said they also have an agreement with sainsburys for free customer parking. Great welcome, then up to room. Lovely room, new, clean just right. Bed AMAZING, very comfortable. Great bathroom, spacious and a bath big enough for Lenny Henry, loads of hot water and quickly dispensed - BUT...the designer forgot the shaving point. We use it for razors and toothbrush, so front desk promptly brought an adaptor plug up - perfect. Also towel rack over bath, in line with shower! Behind the door would have been better.
Found the room door not very well sound proofed, could hear everyone in the corridor.
Bought a breakfast on the last morning, nicely cooked, good choice, plenty of fruit. Would question the toaster, watched the queues building up, one person at a time and they would pass it through twice to brown it - very slow.
Breakfast and reception staff happy, friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: 208 new room. But a sealed window, the hotel is relying on air conditioning, I prefer to open a wind...

Stayed here with my fiancé as we were going see the red bull air race. Arriving late Saturday 16th as we had been a football match back home before coming and leaving today Monday 18th. The room in itself was nice. Only problem been the issue with the air con.
Even with windows open n fan on it was still warm that was only issue with room. Breakfast was good both mornings. Can't rate evening meal as we didn't there at nite.

Many recent reviews mention the ongoing refurbishment, I believe this is due to end in October 2014. We were notified of the building work a week in advance, at this point too late to change any plans. We were a little apprehensive but in the end need not be. The car park has been reduced but still has a significant number of spaces, the hotel offers free water at times on floors where work is being carried out. Our room was at the opposite end of the corridor to the work, we could occasionally hear the sounds but it did not affect us. The staff were friendly and apply help. A noticeable number of staff do have an "In training badge", although do not appear to be being trained!
The Sainsburys next door is useful to stock up on supplies. The new meal deal of 2 courses, drink and then a breakfast for £22.99 is a great offer. Would stay here again. Premier Inn are consistent.
