Owner description: The Radway opened in 1928 and was planned to operate primarily as a theatre. As a live theatre it quickly failed and was soon altered to better accommodate cinema use.Whilst the building enjoyed a very thorough refurbishment in 1999 care was taken to do this as sympathetically as possible in order to retain its early 30’s charm.Digital Projection, 3D and Sound was recently been added.

“Like cinemas used to be”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

Old fashioned helpful service where staff want to help and advise.
A beautifully cinema, wide deep comfortable plush seats, quite spacious (you dont feel crammed in as in modern cinemas). If you sit upstairs there a little tables rests between the seats and you can take tea or coffee purchased at the kiosk into the cinema. They show all the lastest films and on a Thursday morning have Silver Screen for the over 60's at a reduced rate but get there early as there is always a long queue

“old fashioned elegance”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

This is the best cinema I have ever been to,my young son and I are regulars,it reminds me of the cinema I went to as a child, that sadly was pulled down years ago,it has an upper circle, and retains most of its 1920s charm in its decor and layout. The staff are friendly and helpful,if you want to make going to the cinema an event then step back in time, and see the latest films in style.

“Classic cinema experience”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

A full size screen with comfy seats and a coffee bar, with cups and saucers you can take into the film. So much better experience that faceless multiplexes on the edge of towns.
