“Have a comfy seat above the crowd”

Owner description: The Radway opened in 1928 and was planned to operate primarily as a theatre. As a live theatre it quickly failed and was soon altered to better accommodate cinema use.Whilst the building enjoyed a very thorough refurbishment in 1999 care was taken to do this as sympathetically as possible in order to retain its early 30’s charm.Digital Projection, 3D and Sound was recently been added.

“Have a comfy seat above the crowd”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

A small cinema with a personal service. Have a natter with the manager and bumble upstairs to have a cup of tea from the little coffee bar before sitting in the posh seats upstairs. Unless it is a massively popular film the cinema is often quiet so you can sit wherever you like once it goes dark. This is a world away from the huge multiplex experience and is great because of that. The screen and sound though is what a cinema should have.

“best seating up stairs”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

went to see the captain America movie here it was so cool, also the best seating here is on the 1st floor balcony area even though you have to pay extra to get a seat up in the balcony because then if you sit at the front on the balcony no one can block your view and you can see all those watching the movie on the ground floor as well.

“DISAPPOINTED”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We usually visit the cinema whilst on holiday as it is just down the road fromo Berwick House, they used to change films on a Thursday, but NOAH was on all week, which we didn't want to see. If you are staying for a weeks holiday at least if film changed on Thurs you may have a different choice of film to see.
