although hotel nicely positioned and the staff pleasent and the room tidy and clean it lacks something for £175.00 per night bb...a less expensive hotel in sid valley offered far better service and robes ...

the sidmouth harbour ..just did not match up to its price per night although the food was ok nice head waiter .My rib eye steak was not great !!! sound like i am moaning ..but we all want value for money ..this did not !!! try the sid valley country hotel is far better value and offers same facilities be it may not by the sea ...sidmouth harbour need to up its act and offer better value..we would go there again but please make sure your charges offer a more polished package nad take the comments posituvely

Room Tip: take yer bath robe !!!!!

we had three lovely days at this hotel our second visit. we found the staff to be excellent nothing too much trouble especially victor and waiting staff in restaurant where the food was very good with extensive menu.the drinks we thought were rather expensive. we had a nice room which was very clean,. very handy for town and park across the road. we will definitely return for another break.

Room Tip: book a sea view for a wonderful view.

First visit on a three day package and we were not disappointed. Not the most attractive hotel from the outside but inside was extremely clean and comfortable, good size bedroom with views. The restaurant service was excellent and the food and variety have choices for everyone's pallet. They must have a good team in the kitchen to produce the standard that was bought to the tables . All staff through out our visit went out of their way make sure that all guests were comfortable it was inexpensive and very good value for money........big thanks to the team at the hotel

We had a three day mini break staying here on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis in April. The price was very competitive; the food was good quality and tasty, the menu varied. It is very much a traditional seaside hotel - not a modern place with identical rooms - and very nice because of it. Everything was clean and tidy, the decor was a little shabby in places but this was not a problem given the style of the property and the excellent value for money we received. The staff were very attentive and the service was excellent. All in all a very enjoyable stay - we will return.

Quite comfortable room, good food available both as "bar snacks" and restuarant, welcoming staff, views over the sea, location good - on a hill not too far from the town (within walking distance) - a welcome break
