“Excellent All Round !! ”
Reviewed 7 April 2014 via mobile

My Fiancee , Stepson and Myself were made extremely welcome from the Start by Marie who was a perfect host throughout our 2 night stay at the Kimberley Hotel.

We had the Family Room which was immaculately presented and extremely clean , My Stepson even had his own little room within our room which I hadn't seen before and he loved it giving him and us privacy.

Breakfast was fresh , tasty and filling with a range of about 8-9 different Cereals kept in Air tight plastic storage jars rather than the cardboard boxes which can look shabby , A full breakfast was on offer and unknown to us on the first morning we thougjt we might be asked what we wanted to eat but there is some slips on the in the bar room to fill out if you dont want a Full Breakfast, I dont like Mushrooms, Beans or Black Pudding but this wasnt a problem as myself and partner swapped things around accordingly so I had more Sausage and Bacon than the items mentioned above. Breakfast was hot , clean cutlery and plates and very filling .

The bed was lovely and comfortable and so much better than what we have had in other Hotels , B&Bs etc .

We are planning another visit to Scarborough soon and will without a doubt happily stay here.

Marie was on hand in the Hotel's own Bar area at the end of the day too where my Stepson told Marie about everything .

My Stepson actually fractured a bone in his foot a couple of weeks before coming to Scarborough with us and we had to hire a Wheelchair for him locally , Marie kindly accepted safety of this after we had left and was duly picked up the following day by the company concerned from the Hotel which I thought was really kind of her to do .

Great experience and will mention to all our friends and family about how great , clean and welcoming this Hotel is .

Thank you Marie

A lovely hotel, lovely people, good breakfast overlooking the sea. The hotel is as spotlessly clean as previous reviews state and the rooms are lovely. My 11 year old loved her bunk bed in her own space and is missing 'George' the cuddly dog already! Perfect location, will most definitely be returning in the summer!!!

This is a lovely B&B. We arrived to a lovely welcome by Marie and shown to our 1st floor Sea front room. The room was big enough for the 2 of us and was lovely and clean. The bathroom was small but at least it was en suite and the shower was lovely and hot. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room which were replenish every day.

Breakfast was lovely in the morning and if you did not want a full breakfast you could order a smaller breakfast. Marie was always so attentive and asked about your day without being intrusive and offered advise on where to go if you are new to the area.

The only thing I would say as a negative is the communal areas looked a little dated but don't let that put you off. It's not a 5* hotel but it is a lovely little B&B, great value for money and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely little hotel, good location and great view of North Bay. Rooms are spotlessly clean, the room we stayed in was rather small, but can't complain as it was a very late booking. The cooked breakfast was very nice. Really good value for money, I would definitely stay there again.
