Initially booked to stay at Humble Bee Farm for 5 nights but enjoyed ourselves so much we asked for an extra night.
My family, me and OH and 2 children (6 and 4), stayed in our trailer tent with EHU and had a fantastic time. There are 2 shower/toilet blocks which are cleaned regularly and have plenty of hot water. The shop stocks the essentials and a some toys for the children.
The location is idyllic; surrounded by hills and unable to get a signal on your mobile unless you walk up to the corner of the drive. What more could you want?
The staff are kind, friendly and very helpful. They never tired of my son Harry visiting them each day and demanding to spend every last copper of his £1 spending money.
We will definitely be returning.

Have just come back from another lovely visit to Humble Bee Farm. We camped there last summer and thought we'd try the Wig Wams this time due to cold weather. It was great! Lovely cosy Wigwam with all we needed. Excellent facilities and a personal and friendly service that can't be beaten. We are looking forward to camping there again this summer.

It is difficult to be critical about a place when it exceeds all expectations. In fact, we hold so much reverence for Humble Bee Farm that we leave it hoping we have been worthy residents. This was our second visit To Swallows Nest Cottage and as we pulled onto the track that leads you into the cosy rural cleavage we were greeted by a dazzling blanket of cheerful sunflowers. I love the way the farm fits so snugly at the base of the protective rolling hilly fields. It’s like a little hideaway, cutting you off from the hustle and bustle of the world outside.

There are many ingredients to making this accommodation work so well for our family. The ergonomic design of the cottage, the quality of building and contents, the sense of warm hospitality and those extra finishing touches which make you feel so very welcome - fresh flowers, tea and coffee, eggs and ... oh yes... the bacon and sausage which provoke the occasion where I rejoice my wife’s vegetarian preferences.

It is a magical place for getting back in touch with the natural world. Peaceful walks through rural landscapes, chickens, pigs and the impressive acrobatics of the swallows. Then there’s the basking farm dogs. Charlie would often visit our cottage to the delight of our kids (and to the displeasure of our own dog). We did also notice that Charlies visits often coincided with breakfast and tea time. Did I mention the hot tub? When we took our daily outings, the kids would often ask when we could go back to the cottage. They would happily spend the entire week in the hot tub.

Bliss!

We stopped in the wigwams at Humble Bee Farm. There is lots to do for the kids on site and the facilities are clean and well maintained. All the people we spoke to on site were friendly and recommended places for us to visit that were different to doing the major coastal resorts.

Booking the camp fire is a must and letting the kids collect eggs from the hens on a morning.

We enjoyed it so much, we booked again and we are already counting down the weekends to visit

Just returned from from Humble bee farm Having stayed there for 4 Days we stayed in one of the wigwams, we were supprised at the size of these inside they were furnished with microwave toaster and electric kettle a small fridge freezer. The beds were sturdy and comfy to sit on and to sleep on. you need sleeping bags and we took a couple of blankets as it did get a little chilly at times however there is a small electric heater also you can use. there are showers and washing machine and a dryer near the shop the showers there are a little small but the shower itself was great, on saying this they have just built a fantastic facility with toilet facilities for all circumstances, and when they are finished will be fantastic, and the showers in there are the biggest ive ever seen. Scarbrough and filey are a short drive away for shopping and sightseeing theres also some good walks arround the farm. Great short break that dosent disapoint........The Yorks Woulds is a fantastic backdrop to this hidden little gem Just one minor problem the location is poor for a tv signal and phone signal but dont let this put you off.......and there are ways round this just move out of the valley to the top and you can obtain a signal there, as for the tv you need a dish reciever kit about £100 or less ebay... Hope this is helpfull....
