Having had the pleasure of staying at The Lysander previously in order to watch cricket at the Scarborough annual cricket festival, it came as no surprise to both me and my colleague that their standards remained very high on our recent visit.
The proprietors, Julie & Andy have worked very hard to ensure residents have a pleasurable stay in their establishment and every effort is made to meet the day to day needs of their guests.
The breakfasts really are superb and cater for a wide range of choices, my particular choice was porridge and smoked salmon/scrambled egg, both beautifully prepared.
Quite a number of reviews mention the cleanliness, which again was faultless throughout.
The small staff group also complement the proprietors, all work very hard and are most helpful in ensuring guests are well looked after.
Recommended another cricket colleague to stay at The Lysander this year and he was equally impressed with his stay and the location close to the Scarborough cricket ground.
Whether you are visiting Scarborough for cricket or any other personal need I would highly recommend staying at 22 Weydale Avenue.

We really like this B&B. Very clean, modern and tidy. Breakfast was great quality. Julie & Andy are great hosts - very friendly. The B&B is in the perfect location within walking distance of beach & park . Thank you to make our stay memorable.

I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. The hotel is lovely, in a great quiet spot, easy parking and just a short walk to the beach. You can also walk to the south side of the town/town centre within 15 minutes. The breakfast is fab and the rooms are great. We visited some local pubs as recommended by our hosts, which served great food and were only a short drive away. We would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Hotel was a great place! quiet area, however only 4 pound for a taxi to all the arcades etc.. Breakfast was great quality. Andy and Julie are exceptional hosts, whilst in Scarborough my girlfriend lost her purse, Andy and Julie couldnt help enough, and this was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be returning hopefully in the near future.

We were made very welcome at this pristine, well decorated and bright B&B. what lovely hosts and staff. They set us up with the best breakfast ever. We were offered extra coffee, toast and orange juice. Unlike other places where it is served in thimbles! The rooms were immaculate. Lots of clean towels and the bedding was freshly laundered. It has a lovely sitting room and off street parking. Can't fault if in any way. Just great.
