A first class service in this lovely part of Yorkshire. The proprietors are friendly and helpful and take an interest in their guests which is often missing these days. An ideal location for our purpose. Highly recommended.
Excellent breakfast.

We stayed at The Headlands Hotel in June 2014 and found it to be perfect for what we were doing, which was a one day coast to coast cycle ride beginning in Whitby.
The owners were welcoming, friendly and very accommodating as they let us put our (precious!) bikes in one of the free rooms for the night so that we didn't have to leave them locked on the van. They also agreed to do us a continental breakfast at the very early hour of 6am as we had to set off cycling early, which was kind of them and not the norm - very much appreciated!
The rooms were spotless, the beds comfy and the breakfast, though a 'slimmed down' version as it was extra early, was very plentiful with fresh waffles and croissants.
We would definitely recommend The Headlands and would stay again if we needed to stay in the area. Many thanks!

Thank you ever so much for your excellent review and we were pleased to be able to help out with an early breakfast. I hope the bike ride went well ( rather you than me !! ) and we would be delighted to see you all again should you feel the need to punish yourselves in this neck of the woods once more.
Regards, Dave & Gill.

Overall we were very impressed. We stayed in the family room and it was very well laid out with plenty of room for our family of five. Good location to walk down to the North Bay and breakfast was lovely. Only slight note, was that the period for getting breakfast is quite restricted. But highly recommended.

We are so pleased that you were impressed overall with your stay and that you would recommend our establishment, we really appreciate it. As for your one slight negative i.e the breakfast times, over the years we have tried a few different times but 8.30 to 9.15 seems to be the one that suits most of our guests and is pretty standard in similar sized Guest Houses. We would be delighted to see you all back here some time soon.
Regards, Dave & Gill.

Our second visit to the Headlands with three grandchildren, and once again we all enjoyed our stay. A very nice cooked breakfast with a variety of cereals.
The hotel is situated at the north bay close to Peasholme park a quite residential area.
we all lok forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Room 3 is a family room 2 adults 3 children providing a pleasant veiw towards Scarborough castle.

Very nice small hotel we stayed 5 nights and wish it could have been longer. Good location extremely clean and well run. Dave and Gill are the perfect hosts. Breakfasts were excellent, perfectly cooked and presented and the service second to none, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and Dave and the waitress had a word for everyone and made us feel completely at home. If we come back to this part of Yorkshire I hope they have rooms available because would definately stay here again. I would happily recommend The Headlands to all our friends and anyone requiring accommodation in Scarborough. Thank you everybody at the hotel you made our holiday.

Perfectly situated in the quieter North side of Scarborough, parking was easy on the quiet road outside. Our room was a twin, spotlessly clean and I'm fussy! The bathroom was very small but had everything we needed. The whole of the hotel was beautifully decorated, warm but up-to-date. Breakfast was ample and we could not have eaten all that was on offer, but our full English was perfectly cooked not at all greasy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely come back here again. We also had a great evening meal at The Oakwheel in Burniston a few miles away on Dave's recommendation, good ambience with food to match.

Room Tip: Book early as possible to get the room you want!
