Not where the Crown Carvery Tom Tom Point of Interest says it is. Typical Crown Carvery fare. Not much meat and a poor selection of vegetables. Place was busy though.

Prices have recently been increased but not the exterior signage. We have used crown carveries extensively in the past so were confused by new pricing. When asked to explain, the staff member was rude and unhelpful. Theree was only one meat available (pork- the cheapest) yet we were expected to pay full price. The vegetables had been sat around seemingly for ages so were cold and dried up. definitely not worth the money when compared with their sister chain Toby carveries which are now only a few pence more yet offer far more choice, much better quality and pleasant staff. The barman should realise that one unhappy customer can lead to loss of income and not many operators can be pleased with that mowadays.

We went in here as we were staying on the adjacent caravan park and had the carvery .
The service at the bar was slow with quite a few people queing for both food and drink.
The carvery was quite good and the choice of veg was hot and fresh.
The place is let down by the state of the tables and general decor, tables were sticky and your hands stick to them if you stop moving the edge of our table had a build up of old food and needs scraping out.
Seating and floors need cleaning and there seems to be a lack of care not just in the cleanliness but also the attitude of some of the staff who just could not be bothered..
This is a shame as it is alovely setting and building

this is a lovely building which could be an excellent place to go for a meal but has really gone downhill.dirty cutlery & crockery, unfriendly staff, porridge was at least 20mins & forgotten on side which was lukewarm when got it,tables so sticky felt like wallpaper glue had been wiped over & a dangerous broken chair left at table.really needs sorting out this place.
