Stayed in room 1 double en suite Friday 25th July for 2 nights first thing you notice is how homely the owner has made this place and the cleanliness of everything.
Next thing is the fantastic location pearsolme park on the doorstep as well as the north beach which is gorgeous and the open to bus service into south beach we already planned a visit next day to Whitby which was an amazing day by the way ,so this side of Scarborough was ideal for our journey there but was a very nice surprise at the convenience of location into Scarborough main south beach and the amenities around this tranquile setting which is what we prefer.
Marianne was a bubbly very pleasant host and always willing to help if you need it , we loved it that much we would definitely choose this place without a thought of booking anywhere else in the area , this place does not offer breakfast but does have a cafe literaly on the doorstep 2 doors down which we liked because we could pick and choose when we would like to eat the place also has an equipped kitchen to put together your own meals but as a chef on a break I gave that a miss as we had a fair bit of driving and sight seeing to do but maybe next time as the facilities are very good , hoe to return soon mike and Kelly xxx

This is such a gorgeous little hotel. Me and my fiancé stayed hear for one night and its amazing value for money. I would certainly come back hear again. Marianne was the perfect host, she is very friendly and happy to help with anything. The location is perfect, we don't drive and came by train, its a 15 - 20 Min walk to the station. The hotel is 5 mins from a gorgeous fish and chip shop and the cafe on the corner do amazing breakfasts. Peasholme Park and North Bay is also only a five minute walk. Would certainly recommended this to a hotel.

We (couple) stayed here for 3 nights in late June 2014. The room was lovely with all sorts of lovely ittle homey touches. Maryanne was a gracious and freindly host. THe location is great, easy walking to PEasholm Park, the Castle and North Bay and the shopping precinct. We had a lovely time and would definitely stay here again.

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night last weekend. Marianne was a lovely host and gave a very warm welcome.
The room was of ample size, very clean and the bed was very comfy(this is not an easy sell at 6 months pregnant).
The communal facilities provided were modern, clean and practical.
We booked this as a last minute deal and feel very lucky that we found such a lovely guest house at such a reasonable price. We will be returning.
We also visited the café 3 doors down for breakfast. Quirky and the breakfast was amazing.
Highly recommended.

We were a young couple that decided to take a trip to Scarborough for the night and we were exceptionally lucky to find this lodge! Absolutely amazing landlady, couldn't do anymore for you! The parking is a bit tricky but we were given a permit by her to use so we could park around the corner. No breakfast is put on although there is a kitchenette and cereals for you to use, there is a cafe literally a few doors down that offer 10% off the bill due to being a guest of the lodge. Free wifi which is always a plus nowadays overall a fantastic night away for us!!

Stayed here for one night over the weekend. Lovely Owner. Very friendly and helpful. Said we could help ourselves to cereal etc in the morning, or we were given a 10% off voucher for a cafe on the corner.

Very clean, comfortable. Would stay again anytime.
