“Home from Home”
Reviewed 18 October 2011

Each time we visit The Gordon Hotel we always find that when we reluctantly leave we are relaxed and refreshed as you should be following a holiday. Lawrence and Christine are a joy to visit and you feel at HOME straight away. The rooms are comfortable and warm, they are well equipped with TV and drinks. The food is very well presented and there is plenty to satisfy a healthy appetite. Entertainment in the evening is unusual, people do actually talk to each other with the hosts making sure nobody is left out. I will return again as I already have several times and will look forward to my next visit.

We spent only 1 night with my brother and his wife at this hotel. Right from the time we entered the door we were made to feel welcome and were introduced to some of the guests and later to the rest. Accomodation excellent, rooms good size, very clean and pleasant decor. Breakfast very good and plenty of it. Owners Christine and Lawrence spent time in the evening keeping the children amused as well as the adults. Very socialable and friendly hotel. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

Convenient to North Bays amenities and within walking distance of Scarborough's main shopping facilities.
Pleasantly situated in a quiet road close to Peasholm Park with offroad parking.
The hotel is clean with a comfortable lounge and dining room and a small licensed bar for residents.
Our bedroom was of a good size with ensuite facilities. The room was spotlessly clean with towels changed daily and beds made.
Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. I understand from other residents that the evening dinners were also to the same standard.
Christine and Lawrence (proprieters) went out of there way to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay.
I am sure we will return.
