“Cowboy Shack Review”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

Our trip to the seaside was made even more special as we stayed in a cowboy shack. My four year old loved it! Had kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge - made a self catering stay very easy. Lots of space to play in and good , clean facilities. We will return!

Just returned home after 3 fabulous nights here. Arrived with 2 children (7 & 15) and two dogs - all at no extra charge!!
Cannot fault a thing or add to the other excellent reviews. Everything you read is true. I especially loved the location of our cabin and the hot showers - what a change from regular camp sites. My children adored the woodland area & the swings. After spending two weeks all inclusive, at a 5 star resort, they both declared this the best holiday of the two! They made lots of new friends & were reluctant to leave the site to explore during the day. My top tip would be to bring extra lights if you plan to sit out at night.
Would I go again - yes sirrrrrreee we've booked again for Easter! Yeeeeee haaaaa cowboy

After having such a good time last year, we returned for this bank holiday and have had a fantastic time again! Kerry, Dave and their boys have a little gem of a holiday park and care for it very much. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and you and your children cannot help but make new friends. Once again our children (14 and 10) mixed with others and did their own thing around the site (which is very safe) leaving us to chill on the verandah with the chimnea and a wine or two...lovely. Kerry and Dave have now introduced fresh pizza delivered to your door, which is a lovely touch and they are delicious! We visited Robin Hoods Bay, Falling Foss and Scarborough this year, all well worth a visit. If we can fit it in, we will be back again next year . Thank You Again xx

This is a great holiday for all the family. Stayed in a tipi & enjoyed every minute of it. The site is really well run & the facilities are spot on. Good location with easy access to town.Very friendly & welcoming. Would highly recommend.

This is the 4th time we have visited Pinewood, it just keeps getting better and better!
We stay in the cowboy cabin, everything you need to 'camp' but having the added benefit of a little fridge for hubby to keep his cans cold!!
The welcome is fantastic, Kerry and Dave are always happy to help and make sure you have a fab time.
The Watering Hole, which has opened since our last visit was a welcome extra, the kids loved the burgers, (we had a fussy 8year old, he said they were "The Best!") Keep up the fab work boys!! :)
We never want to leave, and the kids love it, with the added bonus of us only living half an hour away in sunny (sometimes!) Whitby.
We will defo be back next year, maybe more than once!
We are lucky to have found this little gem, and look forward to seeing you guys next year! :)

Looking for a caravan site and was delighted by the phone response and even more by the reception on site. Kerry & Dave are a friendly couple who's aim seems to be to ensure your visit is both comfortable and unfussy. It is very good value for money and others on site seemed to be enjoying the tipis. On our second day there the wind became quite strong and partially undid our awning, Kerry phoned to let me know and we were able to get back before any damage was done. That's what I call above and beyond. Thanks again Kerry. Will definitely be revisiting when next in the area.
