“A Motorhome paradise”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

"We are the owners of a 40ft American Motorhome so choosing a holiday
location usually means we have to find a big Motorhome friendly site as the
first priority.
The priority for our latest holiday was to get as close to Scarborough as
possible to get a taste of real northern country, coastline and hospitality.
These were all the things we hoped could be found and Oh boy, did we find
them.
By shear good fortune we booked into Pinewood Holiday Park just outside
Scarborough for a few days. The decision to book was made instantly when our
phone enquiry became a warm and friendly discussion full of helpful
information and suggestions.
On arrival we found our serviced hard standing pitch was perfect for us and
our hosts went out of their way to give us assistance and the freedom to
manoeuvre over grassed areas etc to get into position.
Pinewood Holiday park was so much more than we expected that we invited two
additional family guests to join us for three days in addition to extending
our stay into a second week with very little notice to the lovely family who
own and run it.
We had a wonderful holiday made all the more enjoyable by the
recommendations, suggestions and genuine friendship shown to us by our
hosts.
We will certainly return again and again and can only hope that we can find
more places like this."

For seven years Kerry, Dave and the boys have provided exceptional support to our family. With the Growth of the BeBold Childrens Alopecia Camp they have been instrumental in making this annual event the success it has become. If you want to see the camp in action please visit the following link:

Without Pinewood we would have struggled to build the camp. This year marks five years and starts on Friday. We can't wait to return to see our friends!

We have just returned from a weekend at Pinewood Holiday Park, for a family wedding. The site is clean, facilities great. Bacon butties delivered to your Tipi in the morning! The owners were warm, welcoming and unobtrusive. Their main objective was to ensure that everyone was having a good time. I am not a natural camper but would definitely arrange a family reunion to come back here next year. Absolutely nothing negative to report!

I have just returned from a two night stay at Pinewood Park, from pre booking arrangements to the wonderful warm welcome from Dave and Kerry the weekend was perfect. The facilities are clean and well maintained, the park is stunning. We enjoyed a campfire in the woods prepared and maintained by the park as part of the celebrations. A wonder destination. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality

Room Tip: I stayed in my caravan on a very level pitch

The best way to go camping...My daughter (10) and I have just had the best holiday at Pinewood Park. We stayed in one of the tipis. It was wonderful. The site is so clean and the shower facilities are very modern. You can even order 'room service' to your tipi!! The surrounding forest has to be explored and we took a bike ride to the beach too. We also did the 'Wild Encounters' which is a reptile safari on the camp site - excellent value for money and well worth a visit. The gift shop is a must too! The family who run this park are amazing too - so friendly and helpful - i would recommend Pinewood to everyone x

Start with the basics -

We camped, the field is lovely and well kept, views are great and its a small drive straight to the beach.

Service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating without being overbearing like other sites.

Facilities were clean and up to scratch, even to the nice little touch of providing clean sponges for washing up!

Plenty of space to pitch up and a really clean and nice site.

The extras -

The western theme is really qwerky and fun without being in your face, the overall feel is great without being so over the top you feel like you have to wander around saying 'howdy pardner' all day. Its just a lovely touch that takes a campsite from a couple of fields to a really fun place to stay.

Wild Encounters -

TOTAL MUST! Having done multiple animal talks/meet and great type things this was by far the best four pound I've ever spent. The selection of reptiles is fantastic and the guy who owns and shows you them is extremely knowledgeable and loves them which is fantastic to see. If you stay make sure to spend an hour with the snakes, monitors, turtles and of course the caimen!

Anyway, total five stars, couldn't recommend more. Next time hope to have myself a stay in a station wagon.
