We booked this hotel via email, Lynsey was very helpul in offering information about the rooms and the hotel facilities. We needed a quiet place to rest having worked a year without a day off at www.wtvs.co.uk. We arrived early afternnon on the 14th July and we were made to feel welcome from the start of our stay until we left. We stayed in room four, which was a very impressive room with fantastic views of the local countryside. The room was very comfortable and more importantly, it was nice and quiet!

The thing that struck us most about this hotel was the standard of service, and the attension to detail, it has been a long time since I have seen staff who are so keen to help and well trained in dining room service. All the staff were smart, polite, helpful and happy to serve you.

I have looked through a number of reviews on this site and I can only agree with them, we slept well and ate well. It was a first class experience, which we hope to repeat again. Thank you and good luck Anne, we will be back.

Room Tip: Just ask the staff, we slept in room four, which was huge! Good wifi Great view Quiet undisturbed...

Me and my partner stayed her for a weekend break! Absoulaty delighted with the hotel views were stunning and the service was delightful especially Ann who made us feel very welcome and assisted our every need from turning music on to taking pictures in the beautiful surrounds. We would deffantly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a peaceful break as the hotel isn't overrun and will suit all ages looking for that something different! Also forgot to mention the evening dinner and breakfast was very tasteful too.! Thank you

A recent 'family gathering' at Wrea Head Hotel was praised by everyone from our party. The traditional rooms, superlative food, beautifully maintained private grounds and in particular the attentive but unintrusive staff all contributed to a fantastic weekend and were praised universally.
I congratulate you Anne ( and your team ), first class.

This hotel is no longer part of a chain. It is a privately run establishment, recently purchased. The owners have great aspirations for its future. The bar has recently been refurbished in a contemporary style whilst retaining the traditional ambience. The outlook from the rooms is stunning. Set in large well established private grounds, it is perfect for a quiet relaxed break. The restaurant is excellent with optional dress code and the breakfast just right! It is traditionally English and is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly without being intrusive. Our room was traditional with an excellent view of the secluded grounds. It is already a fine hotel and I think that its future as a private venture will be rosy. Good luck guys..... see you again.

A couple of miles outside Scarborough in the village of Scalby hides a fine hotel. The hall is well off the road in superb grounds with great views back over the countryside. Although the room we booked was small it was very clean. The evening meal was great value, accompanied by excellent attentive service. The star of the weekend trip was the hotel manger Anne who was most welcoming and attentive to everything we asked. Will we be back again? with these prices, definitely.

we found this hotel to be really good we were told that this hotel has just been taken over by new managers ie owners so was a bit surprised to read the negative feed back from some .of the customers that were also aware that there were new owners, they have done a lot of work on the hotel in the short time they have been there and my wife and i were very pleased with this hotel, this establishment will only get better, and i will try to go there again, for a lovely quiet place in the country i do not think you will find much better. the food was brilliant as well,
thanks for a lovely couple of days

Room Tip: go for the double rooms
