“A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE”
Reviewed 14 May 2009

I stayed at Wrea Head with my sister for a few nights last week. This was a last minute holiday break to get out of the smog and city and was worth every single penny!. The location of the hotel was wonderful - totally magical with beautiful gardens - and fields of sheep and horses within walking distance - all very beautiful and picturesque. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable and well equipped with toiletries. In fact the whole hotel is beautifully decorated and fitted out to an extreme high standard with exquisite plush furnishings. Our room rate also included dinner which was a three course meal - the choices and meals were of a very high standard and portions huge even for us. Additionally all the staff of Wrea Head were very welcoming and friendly to us at all times. A wondeful magical experience. I would definately visit this hotel again.

If you are looking for a first-class haven to explore Scarborough and the surrounding area than look no further than Wrea Country House Hotel. We were looking for a place with style, elegance, privacy and 5 star service and we found it at this very lovely country house hotel. There is plenty of parking and the base it excellent if you fancy a country walk or want a quick drive to the beaches of Scarborough or Whitby. As you walk into the house you can tell that it is much loved and well kept by it's manager and staff. It really has a lovely feel to it. The oak panelling on the walls, antiques, fireplaces and gorgeous decor gives it a very grand and cosy feel and every room has a unique feel. The bar is a fantastic place to relax with a pre or post dinner drink and looks onto a fabulous landscape. The conservatory is light and airy and there is even another big lounge to hide away and escape to. We had a 3 course dinner on both nights which was excellent, delicious and very varied. Our room, a twin, was big, roomy and clean. All the staff here too were lovely, friendly and made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the front door. This really is an exceptionally good place to stay and we will definately be returning as soon as we can.
