We stayed for 2 nights in order to attend our daughter's wedding which was held in the hotel. The staff, in particular the manager, were very helpful, we were made most welcome from the minute we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for them. Tthe rooms were very comforable and the food was out of this world. A fantastic time was had by all attending.
We would certainly book again and we would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Scarborough or surrounding area

Just returned from a two day mid-week break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The welcome on check-in was friendly and we were escorted to our room. The room was at the front of the building and was quite spacious. The view was nice to wake up to.
There are plenty of seating areas available around the hotel and the staff were friendly and accomodating. The food was first class and a good range of dishes available.
If we come back to the area in future, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was lovely, situated in the countryside with lovely views from our room. We were in room 1, which had a four poster bed and was very spacious. The staff were lovely, including the male receptionist, who was most helpful along with Anne the Manager when I was trying to covertly organise a birthday cake to be presented at the evening meal for my partner! We stayed for 2 nights, had 2 lovely evening meals, 2 tasty breakfasts, and met some lovely people there, who we are going to keep in touch with. I would recommend the hotel, especially room 1! I do think it made all the difference having a visible and very sociable manager who was eager to ensure we were happy.

We spent two nights here celebrating my wife's birthday. The friendly and curteous staff dealt efficiently with our every request and nothing was too much trouble. There was a wide choice of excellent food and wine. There is a large comfortable bar and several comfortable seating areas in which to relax. The entire house is thoughtfully and tastefully appointed and we enjoyed beautiful open views from our superb room. Overall our stay was so relaxing that we have already booked a return visit.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday and booked the superior room with b'fast for 2 nights. The location is excellent, not far from the coast only a few minutes drive. The superior room was lovely, especially the bathroom with tv to watch whilst you're having a soak! Unfortunately on opening one of the wardrobes I found quite a lot of dust and a few cobwebs so it hadn't been cleaned out for some time and for the price I paid for the room I was quite disappointed. Also the remote for the television didn't work. Having paid over 300 pounds for 2 night stay it wasn't worth the money. The managers were very friendly and the breakfast and evening meals were lovely. However, the young male receptionist was quite curt and we didn't receive a friendly welcome from him, I assumed he was having an off day, but he was exactly the same the following day. I would stay again if there was a good deal on the accommodation but there are a few areas they need to work on.
