“Loved our Stay at The Boston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We had spotted this place on our last visit to Scarborough, as we were staying a few yards away, so decided to give it a try. The booking system is very dated as its just a case of ringing up and hoping for the best. Having said that it seems to work very well for The Boston, so why change? We will definitely go back again, as the staff were more than helpful and extremely friendly. We actually loved the fact that they catered more for the elderly bus trips, well that was the case on our visit! The oldies were lovely and it was nice to have a chat to some of them. We didnt participate in the evening entertainment but they all seemed to enjoy what was on offer. The breakfast was more than adequate, as was the evening meal. We had a fabulous view (room 14) of the sea and the bed we found very comfortable. It was very warm in the hotel and the receptionist kindly lent us a fan, which was a godsend. It was a very pleasant change to stay here. We much preferred it to the larger chain of hotel, catering for stag, hens etc and the usual wooden receptionist reading from a script! All in all we had a great time in Scarborough, the weather was warm and mainly sunny, the hotel was very good value, and the people are very friendly. Cannot wait to go back again for another weekend.

Comfy beds, great choice or breakfast, welcoming staff, great location, clean rooms... The list goes on. I will be back and will recommend to anybody that's visiting the area. Thanks to all at this hotel for my great stay.

My friend & I stayed for 4 nights. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in, the staff at the hotel were very friendly & welcoming. Our room ( no 17 ) was clean and had a beautiful sea view. The food was great, plenty of choice & very filling. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Funny staff ha ha, best food, best hotel in Scarborough best rooms. It's a short walk from hotel to Peasholm park if you know the way like I do. Martin is the daftest but you can have a laugh with him, Gary is sometimes chatty most of the time quiet, Andy well he is funny if you know so well a bit on the a laugh cheeky side but my mum sorts him out there is nothing wrong with that I get that home so I am happy and I do get my own back.

Having spent a 5 day holiday at the Boston hotel Scarborough I would tell every one
who is thinking of going for few days to try this hotel. The food is amazing ,with lots to choose from breakfast ,hot and plenty of it from full English to scramble eggs poached eggs kippers etc etc .the evening meals being 5 corse ,you pck what you won't for evening meal after your breakfast so you are eating only what you yourself have chosen .we had a ground floor room with lots of room very clean and sea view . Just Go it's well worth it .

Room Tip: There is lift to all rooms and most have sea view

We took a room here at short notice having fled from the grotty and ridiculously expensive Crown Spa. We much prefer the South Bay anyway, and this hotel has perhaps the best position of all for sea views. The room was clean and pleasant with a big picture window to enjoy the view even when lying in bed! Our only concern would be weather it would get a little too hot in the full summer given that there's no AC and only one small ventilator window to open.
We particularly liked the bright and cheerful lounge, again with superb views.
There's entertainment most evenings and even a small dance floor but we weren't kept awake by noise.

My Husband and I travelled with David Urquhart and spent 2 nights and 3 days at the Boston. We had a lovely sea view from our room which was a bonus. The only problem we had was the memory foam bed which was too soft. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good and always piping hot. We would definitely stay again.
