From entering the hotel i knew it was a mistake, dated reception area needed a good clean,The bedroom 430 was dirty carpet all stained, wall paper falling off, smelled terrible it had never been given a good clean in years.Only one lift working so we walked and the main electric power switch in the room had a piece of wood wedged in to keep the power working! on the plus side hot water in the tap,we looked around the rest of the hotel and there was no way I would eat in this place so after 2 hours we left and booked in another one.

Room Tip: you will not find one in this place do not stay here

Arrived to find hotel looking very unkempt and run down from the outside. 'Flower beds' around the outside of the windows had just soil in them - not a stem in site!
Most of the windows were rusted and glass broken in some of them.
When we arrived, the receptionist was that keen to take our credit card details that she didn't hand us a key or tell us our room number or how to get to it! Lift was broken. I had to look on the card for our room number and luckily the housemaid was able to open the door for us.
Our room was clean but not to the standard we are accustomed to. Two light bulbs were missing from the central light fitting, handles missing off the furniture, double bed was two singles pushed together, there was a sharp rusty bracket attached to the wall tiles at the side of the bath and the old sash windows would not close so we had to stuff toilet paper in them. We did complain about the windows but no-one came to look at them - let alone fix them. The view from the window was good though! Room was very cold due to the gaps in the windows, heating not working because it had been turned off for the summer so we were given a heater.
We woke up in the night to find water dripping through the woodwork in the ceiling.
A bucket was left on the stairs to catch water leaks and paper was peeling off the ceilings in the hotel. I was looking forward to using the pool but after seeing the dirtiness of the hotel, I would like to wager a bet that the water wouldn't be tested regularly - so gave it a miss!
The food was relatively good but obviously massed produced. Breakfast was good overall but not a pastry in site.
Some staff were obviously working hard but others didn't seem very motivated at all.
We wont be going back in a hurry! In fact, we wont be going back at all!

The hotel is run down, this is obvious from setting foot into the place. The service at reception was poor, to the point I felt we were in the way. We attempted to get to our room on the 4th floor but there was a massive queue for the lift..... Seriously, there was only one lift servicing the entire hotel which would fit no more than 2-3 people in the life, we decided to take the stairs. The grand staircase would have been great in its day but on closer inspection is tired to say the least, then into the warren of corridors which had thread bear carpet, chipped paint, dirty windows and curtains. The back stairwell has the aroma of cabbage. The room was disappointing, towels were provided but very thin, the room was stuffy and hot. When we tried to open the window it opened a matter of inches, my conclusion is that this is to stop the guests escaping. This is definitely a no frills hotel, the best part of our stay at the hotel was coming home.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, there was a hole in the wall and the bathroom was dirty. The swimming pool was dark and dingy and dirty. To top it off in the morning when we went for breakfast the plates was dirty and hair was in the food. We told one of the waiter and shrugged his shoulders, which really says it all.

The first thing we noticed as we arrived is that the outside is run down, my parents visited 2 weeks, before and had a sea view room, which was of a good standard. However when we returned we were upgraded to a suite fantastic, eh. Well no the. The Ceiling was starting to peel and the TV was split and from about 2002, the decor is old and outdated. This hotel is rated as 3 stars but is currently running at around 2 stars. The hotel staff were openly discussing wages in front of guests, very unprofessional. I would advise people to look else where.
