We were very impressed with the standard of accomodation for the price even though all these cheap room offers did not seem to apply to us. Nevertheless, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. The Brewers Farye had great food with special nights for curry/chinese etc which were very good value. Have noticed an odd comment about noise but our room was at the front of the hotel above the roundabout and we were not troubled by noise at all due to excellent soundproofing. The parking can be a bit awkward as this hotel does not have its own car park. They do provide you with options from carparks close by at varying levels of cost. However, I did find a small long stay up behind the station which was £5.00 for 24 hours and on one ocassion I drove out to the Park & Ride and left the car there for the day - car parked free with bus fare of £2.00 return (family tickets are available at I think £3.85). All told a great short break enhanced by the mini heatwave from 1st to 4th June. Would not hesitate to go back again.
