We spent our 2nd New Year at the Palm Court Hotel. It's like coming back to family as many of the faces are the same. The hotel is extremely well presented, warm, comfortable and clean with all the luxuries of home but with none of the work. The staff are second to none!! Nothing is ever too much trouble. We have read other reviews which also say that the staff are great so please take our word for it also. Especially David. The rooms are well appointed and it would be a pleasure to stay in any one of them. The meals are superb and fresh. We will be back again next New Year and are due to return again in the next few weeks.

My friend and I booked this for a one night for a Christmas shopping trip. From the moment we checked in we could not fault this hotel. the rooms were comfortable and spotless, we asked for a quite room and we certainly got that and more . A great night away and a special mention to the staff that we spoke to, Judith and Melissa

Stopped overnight whilst meeting friends for a Christmas Party. On first approaching the hotel it looks very plush but this does not extend to the rest of the place. We were allocated a room on the 4th floor, cleanish, tidy but needs a complete decoration. The ceiling had stains on which only needed a couple of coats of paint. The bathroom window had been boarded up!!!! Only needed some glass putting in.
The food was your normal Christmas Fare which was tasty and well prepared with plenty of veg provided.
Breakfast selection was good and the cooked breakfast was top class.
All in all we had a pleasant stay but feel that the hotel needs to spend some money on the rooms to bring them up to the same standard as the entrance area. After all it's not difficult to paint or replace a pane of glass!

Although the bedroom was small, this is more than made up for by the hotel staff who are extremely helpful and very friendly. The bedrooms have everything you need and the bathrooms are well laid out with a great walk-in shower. There is a bar area in the hotel and the wine is very well priced and good quality! The hotel is extremely well located and there are lots of great views and local attractions . Well worth a visit

We had our office staff night out at the hotel (14 people). The staff were very nice on arrival. The Christmas menu was nice and the portions were large enough to feed an army. The quality of food was, top class. It is nice to see staff enjoy their work and nothing was a problem for them. The restaurant was full and everyone was having a good time. At one point the total restaurant were up on the dance floor. Our table left feeling very happy and very full. This was so good, we will book our office Christmas night out for next year, although i will be visiting a few times more before then. Thanks again guys for the great night and keep up the good work

Two couples. We stayed on a two night advertised break with dinner included. From booking to departing the staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were large and adequate and were clean, comfortable, warm and cosey. The restaurant was very pleasant, with spotless white linen. The breakfast was very civilised with plenty on offer , no queuing but food served to order. The evening meal was also excellent. We were just sorry we could not have stayed longer. Luxury on a budget !! Recommend

Just returned from a great party night, 1st December at the Palm Court. It was the first time we have chosen to go to the hotel due to a bad one last year. (no names mentioned) Very busy on arrival. Hotel seemed well decorrated, The staff were superb, really helpful, and very professional. Food was good, served hot and quickly. Staff again were at hand to check if everything was ok. Also we didnt get "stung" with the drinks, The DJ was great also. Our room was not huge, but spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed after an enjoyable evening, no complaints and we aim to book agaion for next year. Wish we had breakfast but couldnt face it.
