had a 2 night weekend stay recently. no sea views but location is good on edge of town and close to south bay/esplanade. comfortable rooms but too hot overnight (with windows open very noisy late night revellers/seagulls !) Very spacious comfortable entrance lobby and downstairs lounge. No windows in sunken dining room but all meals are excellent, very good quality.

Hotel has own free car park very close by, a big bonus in Scarborough. All staff very friendly and helpful. There is a small indoor swimming pool

We have visited this hotel in the past and this was our 5th time. Our room was comfortable and clean with all amenities available. The room service was spot on.. Hotel staff were polite and friendly and in particular, unobtrusive. Our dining room experience was commendable. All table staff were efficient and friendly but one particular young lady from Latvia was the star of the show. She was totally in command of her job and was an extremely hard worker. Top marks to her. The food was good but one small criticism, the a-la-carte menu was repeated on a daily basis. I was informed it was changed once a week/a month, not sure which. We think that a little more variety in this area would not go amiss. This hotel has the advantage of an indoor pool which we used each day of our stay and is very near to the shopping area and a quick trip in the tram takes you down to the sea shore.

Certainly worth another visit. Well done.

Visited for evening meal. Had £55 3 course meal plus bottle house wine and coffee. Excellent food, well cooked and attractively presented. With wine and coffee included this must be the best VFM in Scarborough. Highly recommended and worthy of top rating

I have just got back from scarborough after a one day stay with my wife at the palm court hotel.on arrival we got our room( number 11) but we had to move rooms because the drains smelt very badly. we were moved to room 16 which was fine-except there was no heating and the weather had chilled a lot after the warm summer.spoke to other residents only to find that it was a hotel wide problem. they admitted the plumming needed seeing to and that there was no central heating. no compensation was offered.but despite this we had a good time. the restraunt was excellent.otherwise a first class hotel.

Room Tip: we were on the first floor ,we always find it better as my wife smokes and it is not far to go to ge...

My Mum and I stayed here for 2 nights, 17 & 18th August. Having stayed in Scarborough many times I thought I would treat us to what I hoped would be a nice hotel and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we checked in every member of staff was helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size, beds and pillows were comfy. We had afternoon tea and lunch whilst there and could not fault the food, it was nicely presented and good value. Breakfast was excellent! I unfortunately had a problem with my foot whilst there but the pregnant lady (sorry didn't catch her name) provided ice and reception faxed through a doctor's note to the RAC...thanks to them for their help. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and having been a manager at one of the North East's best 5 star hotels myself I can agree with their claim of a 3 star hotel with 5 star service.
