Visited this fair collection on Sunday when the rain was coming down in sheets. Inside some of the members were busy mopping up flood damage but this did not spoil any of the enjoyment of the day. The vintage cars and motorcycles, the traction engines and the many different organs all taking a turn at playing songs and bringing back many memories. A ride on the horses, the gallopers and the dogems and free rides for the smaller children. To finish the day a well earned cup of tea and toasted teacake with lashings of butter, a perfect day. The staff of volunteers are cheerful and very helpful. Do not miss it.

What a collection of great Wurlitzer's, fair ground organs and fair ground rides. We arrived just before lunch and in fact had lunch in the on site cafe watching two great young men play the Wurlitzer organs. In between recitals (played perfectly) the fair ground organs one by one played, after a lovely lunch we had a go on the dodgems (un-restricted speed) and other fair ground rides. Steam engines one after another, a display of motor cycles and vintage cars. I will be booking for the Xmas spectacular plus booking a couple of days at the FLOWER OF MAY holiday camp that owns this great display. In a word breathtaking.

Well - a great day was had by all.

Sheila and I spent four hours here today. The first two were looking at the exhibits, riding the fairground rides and having lunch. Then this afternoon we were treated to a concert by Mike Lester demonstrating the 'Mighty Wurlitzer'.

Our dog, a whippet, also had a good day. Lazing in the car with water, treats, fresh air and a comfy bed. And us coming back at regular times to check him and take him for a walk round the dog friendly holiday site, adjacent to the museum.

Thanks to all for giving us freedom to enjoy the collection and care for the dog.

What can I say?
If you are staying on the east coast located between Filey and Cayton Bay lies this gem within the Flower if May caravan park.
Its a great day out for kids but in particular Dads! The machinery on show us 2nd to none.
Really really enjoyed it as did our grandson
